I base my top 10 on how many times I've rewatched a given movie and how likely I am to continue to do so in the future
1. Shawshank Redemption
2. Forrest Gump
3. Back To The Future (1 & 2)
4. Terminator 2
5. Airplane!
6. Infinity War/Endgame
7. Die Hard
8. Monty Python & The Holy Grail
9. Saving Private Ryan
10. Jurassic Park
Best list I’ve seen. Airplane! Is the best movie of all time. So much subtle awesomeness. Every line is hilarious.

Movies I'm going to prioritize in 2023 to watch because of this thread.......There Will Be Blood, Seven Samurai, Back to the Future trilogy and the first 3 Indy films.
You will have a great year if these are on your list.

Another classic I didn’t see until later that holds up is Raging Bull. Something to add if you haven’t got there yet.

I would be curious the know what peoples top ten of all time are
Gotta agree with Hemi-Cuda's point about re-watchability.
In no particular order:
2001:A Space Odyssey
Bride of Frankenstein
Blazing Saddles
Twice Upon a Time
Fantasia
Casablanca
Slap Shot
Ghostbusters
Master and Commander: Far Side of the World
Blade Runner
King Kong
(I know that's eleven movies. I just couldn't figure out which one to drop)

Man you have got to be the weirdest movie fan (said with affection). All the time you spend watching movies and talking about them and you haven't seen Back to the Future or Raiders of the Lost Ark? Both are literally perfect action/adventure movies and pillars of pop culture.
What you're saying is you need to rectify some mistakes in 2023!

Finally got around to watching First Blood for the first time last night. opening shot of Stallone walking on the highway I thought "Hmm, that kinda looks like BC", and then he strolls right into Hope without any kind of movie window dressing other than a couple of American flags, that was a fun surprise
Movie itself was great, so different than than the Rambo sequels. No heroes or villains, just a few ####### cops and a vet with PTSD. That final monologue by Stallone where he completely breaks down is brilliant, probably the best acting of his entire career. It's a shame he didn't do more non-action movies in his prime, First Blood and the first 2 Rocky movies show that he had some real skills

It is such a great film, I revisit it every few years. Great performances all around, Stallone was great but Brian Dennehy just kills it in his performance.
We happened to overnight in Hope summer of 2021, my kids couldn't understand why I was so pumped to be there. LOL.

I highly recommend checking out the movie Copland if you haven't already. Stallone is terrific in that.
Not to mention the famous monologue from 2006's Rocky Balboa when he's talking to his son. Just an outstanding performance.
I went and saw Violent Night last night. I must say, it really put me in the Christmas spirit. However cheesy it may be at points, the action sequences are great and well shot. The humour had me laughing out loud constantly. I don't know how rewatchable it will be, but I was pleasantly surprised for a first watch.

I missed those movies growing up and it got to the point where I decided to wait until they were released on 4K to give them a watch so I could watch them in the best format. Now just waiting to find them for a decent price before I pick them up
No top 10 list of mine would be complete without Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Last of the Mohicans, and LA Confidential . Not sure what the remaining seven would be.

If you liked Whiplash and LaLa Land you'll enjoy Babylon. Far more ambitious than anything Chazelle has done before and overall it hits the mark more than it misses.
I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but watch Rudderless. It's about a successful ad exec whose kid dies in a school shooting, and his life spirals until he starts singing his kid's songs.
Directed by William H Macy, and it has Billy Crudup, Anton Yelchin (RIP), Felicity Huffman, and Laurence Fishburne, with minor roles to Macy, Selena Gomez, and Jamie Chung.
I thought that Glass Onion was every bit as good as Knives Out, although I will admit that I enjoyed the characters in the original more than this installment. Sure hope there are many more stories from this crew to make a smallish franchise out of it.
Available on Netflix.

It starts out as a mild rehash of Clue, but then spins into its own unique and very fun film. Not going to win any awards, but really fun regardless. I heartily recommend.
