A Better Calgary Party = far right lunatics.
Communities First = Less far right UCP bootlickers
The Calgary Party = Progressive/center left

Would it have killed them to go with Calgary Progressive Party? Or they could have been the Calgary Progressive Conservatives and then just collect all of the votes of conservative voters who won't bother to research the election but will blindly check the box for the CPC or the Progressive Conservatives.
