Yeah, my Co-Op card didn't work either so I trashed the app.

Interesting story I read that some here may enjoy:

Has anyone tried the new beejive IM app? It's pretty awesome now that it supports push. I tried IM+ previously, but it didn't have true push (it kept your online, but didn't tell you if you had any new messages). I think it costs $6 but its the first program I've seen that uses push well and is worth the price.

I can't decide between Tiger Woods, Sims 3 and X2 Football. All three sound like really good games. but at $7 each, I really only want to get one. Help me make a decision!

Edit: Thanks to Oilers_fan's post below, other reviews I have read and my own gut feelings, it's down to the soccer games! There's a lite version of X2 foootball. The floating analog stick is awesome for a sports game- best controls for a regular sports game on the ipod touch I've encountered yet. But my decision is yet again complicated- Real Soccer 2009 is $0.99 right now. Hmmm.

Tiger Woods is too easy, the Sims gets boring within a day or two, and I've never tried the football one.

Am I on crack, or is there not a Twitter client that supports push yet?

I thought TweetDeck was supposed to...

No solid date but some interesting info:

http://digg.com/d1vrRO

Highlights from the article:
Quote:
The app will include TomTom’s IQ Routes feature, which takes advantage of other TomTom GPS owners’ driving experiences to determine the actual speeds driven on particular routes at particular times of day. Murray said the “trillions of bits of data” lets IQ Routes provide accurate information about historical drive-speed norms, generating more accurate drive times and letting the software choose the actual fastest route, which may not be the same as the shortest route.
Quote:
the company is leaning towards a set price for the application and maps, rather than taking the subscription approach of AT&T. The application you purchase through the App Store will include the TomTom navigation software and the latest TeleAtlas maps for your area; North America and Europe will be the initial areas offered.
Quote:
Due to the size of the maps, the download will be quite large for an iPhone app—close to 1GB.

Are there ANY rumours on pricing? Will it be cheaper than buying a standalone GPS unit?

I haven't seen any. It's tough to guage because as the article says it is unlike any other tomtom unit. It's size is closely related to early models, while it's feature set is somewhere near the current models. I'm expecting the whole thing (app + accessory) to cost about as much as a lower end standalone unit ($150 range).

I hope they stick with the one-price model. I'm not interested in a subscription service. The standard Maps app will more than suffice, if TomTom ends up being $x/mo.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but Let's Golf is a hoot. I just bought it a few days ago and am really enjoying playing it.

In honour of the Apollo moon landing SkyGazer ($3) and SkyVoyager ($15) are free for today only. Kind of cool if you're into astronomy or ever have a "where the hell is saturn?" moment.
