Dropped into a DT pharmacy after lunch since booking is challenging this year for me (work schedule). No problem getting in but unfortunately only got the flu shot. Dude said they were out of the Covid booster, their initial supply had already been exhausted.

Got both flu and COVID shots this afternoon. I asked the nurse which version of Moderna they’re giving. She said it’s the bivalent which is the current one. I said that’s not the current one and I’d decline if it’s not the monovalent; cue dirty look from my wife. I declined, and she called a co-worker. They checked and I was correct. #feelingvindicated I didn’t correct her math when she said the flu vaccine at .7 is 30% more than .5.

the soonest we could get vaccinated at an AHS site is Nov 14. Are pharmacies quicker? If we just show up three weeks early and play dumb will they turn us away lol?

Don't think that is the case. Last year was no charge and today (flu only) was not either. IIRC the RSV vaccine might be out of pocket but I'm pretty sure Covid and flu are not.

They had a clinic at work today so I got the double shot and was able to kill about an hour of work time while doing it.
The sore arm is just kicking in about 8 hours later.

No local pharmacy was able to take us right away but AHS could.
