			Holy smokes, it's pre-season LOL.
Sutter is clearly implementing his style, pace, and system. Something he didn't have a chance to do last year.

One thing the coaches mentioned is there are still playing too slow.

I know it's preseason and it's super early but Coleman is smallish and not very quick.
Didn't see the appeal in person and how he remotely even moves the needle for this team.

Maybe those are fans expectations not shared by the coaching staff?

Vladar made some basic mistakes on the first 2 goals. An easy fix in my mind.
Valimaki looked a lot better than previous games. Made a couple of smart plays.
Killington has some wheels and I hope he avoids the big mistakes as Sutter mentioned as a point regarding his progress.
JG looked pretty good for game one. I'm still not a huge fan of the sharp angle high shot on goal.
I will accept the inevitable parade to the penalty box as the players figure out the clamp down on crosschecking. I think the call on Zadorov was pretty weak since he really didn't lay into it at all.
I think pace has to be the big focus. The players that hesitate run out of options quickly as the opposition pressures early. Pressuring early is something the Flames need to get on.
Reffing is already suspect!
Sidenote: I had to turn the volume down everytime Beasley started up. Seemed like a lot of yelling for nothing.

I am so...i just looked around and i am the only one here. Also makes me the dumbest in the room but that doesnt count cause i dont want it too.

So you are wrong....about everything...but especially tapioca....sounds like a long lost civilization, not something to be confused with the creamy deliciousness of pudding.

Whats next? Blood pudding?

One thing I noticed with Vladar is he needs to work on his rebound control. Puck lively bounced off him a number of times creating some chaos in front of him (or that goal). Also him out of the crease was an adventure at times. I see a little bit of early Rittich in him where he was actively trying to be part of the game rather then letting it come to him.

His blocker side coverage when shooters are coming in glove side is also not great so far.

Last season was a clear indication this fanbase is definitely on their last straw with this iteration of the team. No major changes occurred other than losing our captain in expansion, signing a middle 6 winger to top 6 money for 6 years months before he turns 30.

We are banking on bounce backs, career years, and total buy in to a system in order to be a good team.

Dom on the Athletic had his Flames preview today and described them as the most middling team in the league who should get 92pts. Things go well they are 100pt team, things go poorly they are a 80pt team

Yeah, I get all of that. I think most people do.

It's still pre-season. These games mean nothing.

This is said every year, and every year we go on and limp through another season.

It's not the end of the world, but maybe pre-season does matter a bit.

I think it depends on what you're looking at and worried about.

Gaudreau didn't look sharp ... it's preseason.

The Flames D seem to struggle with moving the puck up the ice ... uh oh

There was an embarrassing amount of adults wearing Kraken jerseys to the dome last night.
The only one I give a pass to was the girl in the Gio jersey.

There's an embarrassing amount of embarrassing adults in society period. I bet half those people with Kraken jerseys also have Knights jerseys in their closets. And if the Flames make a run they'll be back to their C of Red jerseys.
