Can we get a “Treliving” filter until trade deadline?

I'm not a mod actually.

The cartoon is funny, but doesn't really make the mark.

Just a guy posting on a site annoyed with the need to hijack every single discussion towards the same topic.

Maybe I'll start steering every conversation towards Tapioca pudding!

Not worried about Stone as a regular, we know he can be solid and cut out most of those gaffes.
The reason I think we are stuck with Gudbranson besides the 2 mil and optics is that he is Markstrom’s best friend and is close with Tanev (living with him right now)

Arguably our most important player this season and our best defenseman so you run the risk of pissing them off if you sign their close friend then bench him or demote him

I had fun at the game last night. It was good to see some of the main roster players. Next morning, still really liked Kylington game. I think they mentioned on the radio last night that we need to see how he plays as the preseason goes on against more NHL like teams. I think the good thing playing with Tanev, is he played some heavy minutes. Also liked Gawdwin playing center with Lucic and Lewis. I know Jiri mentioned it, but man did I know nothing about Duehr, can't even spell his name right half the time. Has probably been one of the feel good stories in camp. I know he isn't NHL ready, but could be a good find and it will be interesting watching him play his first pro year.

Can’t wait for all of our prospects to be sent to the AHL or their jr clubs. There are 1 or 2 decisions to be made on D but I don’t see anyone amongst the forward group that will be anything outside of a 4th line player/13th forward.

Vlader looks like the choice for backup. Outside of the shakey start last night I think he has looked capable.

I think they should start getting their regular lineup into the rest of the games so they don’t have their usual substandard start. It would be nice to not start this season behind the 8 ball after 10 games.

As for the game...i admit missing chunks of it to watch the theatre that the Jays/Yankees game was providing.

I did notice pretty clearly though that the team really seemed to clamp down defensively after the first 10 minutes or so, which i think is a really good sign that the Sutter way is starting to set into the collective mind set.

IMO that is step 1 in making this team a sum of its parts but one that will take a lot of time. Hopefully the club can tread water through the first 3 weeks or so with the brutal schedule they face.

Doomer fan: The Flames wont be good this season and they should have fired Treliving

Normal fan: We know, but we're looking forward to this season because hockey is fun to watch.

lol I like how they are labeled "doomer fan" and "normal fan"

Don't worry we'll likely all be doomer fans soon because the season is about to start.

To be fair, I couldn't think of another word but normal. I should have used average maybe. Normal isnt a great word.

Thee are what, 5 preseason games left?

I wouldnt mind another honor killing of rookies before taking the last 4 games more seriously.

5 games is still too many to ramp things up. In fact 8 preseason Games is just ridiculous.

What about the traitor fan? After 30 years as a Flames fan, I just showed up at the dome in Kraken gear.
Gave myself a fresh start the Flames didn't.

I know it's preseason and it's super early but Coleman is smallish and not very quick.
Didn't see the appeal in person and how he remotely even moves the needle for this team.

Yeah, you guys are right. But this is why we shouldn't get too high or low about performances in pre-season games (not that you are doing that). Vladar had an awesome performance in Game #1, and a much less impressive performance in Game #3. It is possible that neither of these results is clearly indicative of his level of play.

So long as Tkachuk plays as big as he talks. He has always sounded great in front of the cameras, but too often has disappointed when it comes to validating all that talk on the ice. I can't see Sutter putting up with any #### like that.

Sutter needs to own some of the responsibility for that contract. He is the one who called Gudbranson in the opening minutes of free agency, after all.

In regards to Valimaki I just don't get the insistence on playing him with replacement level talent (stone, nesterov, and gudbranson) and expecting him to look like a top four defender. I don't think it's a coincidence that Kylington looked as good as he did when paired next to Tanev. I would like to see Valimaki next to Tanev and Kylington next to Zadorov during this preseason.
