Yeah, I think Burger King is for the "well done" crowd. If you like your meat a little juicier, the patties at BK taste like they were left on the grill 5min too long.

Game threads. I don't really get them. Do you all sit with a laptop while watching the games and just jot down every reaction you have? Do people go back and read these afterwards?

I use my phone. It's a discussion like every other discussion. Why wouldn't we comment on the play? Isn't that what forums are for? Do we jot down every reaction to every news item?

I go through game threads for goal reactions. And through PGTs for GIFs. That's pretty much it.

Granted, I rarely ever post in game threads. But on occasion, I find it entertaining. If I am watching the game by myself, it's like watching it with fiends because you can chat and comment on things going on.

It always makes me laugh how normally when a Flames player scores its just a page full of everyone repeating the players name. And yes, I am guilty of this

Yah, it's more like a discussion amongst Flames fans watching the game. I usually am on it with my phone when I'm watching the game, and check the thread and post once in awhile after whistles or during breaks.

When I only have the opportunity here and there to check on the game in 30 second increments, I check the game thread, as the boxscore really doesn't give you a sense of the flow of the game.
That said, it would be nice if the reaction to the plays were a little more descriptive. Or discussion on a player dealt with a little more than "I liked/didn't like that thing". What thing?
Actually, the OOT threads are great for this. They tell you the updated score, what happened, a big play, the ability of the players and reaction.

I usually go through them after big wins. I especially like it when a player isn't playing good and getting piled on in the thread and then they make an insane play or huge save and they are suddenly heroes on here.
Also, the Around the League Report is the best thing on CP.

For me I like to drop by in the intermission. Usually more entertaining than whatever garbage they have on anyways.

Eh, I think the "Around the Leagues" could be way better.
First, Gaskal only does them for wins, seems a little showboaty for me. Second, they don't provide any decent analysis of either team, it's just enjoying another fanbase's misery. Finally, they're expected so quickly after the game that there isn't time for him to really cull the best reactions of, not only fans, but players taking to twitter, coach reactions, etc.
I'm a West Ham fan and the West Ham board does something similar: they call it "The Opposition View" and it comes out about 24 hours after the match is done. Most of what they grab is from the post-match-threads from various sources, reddit, team forums etc. But I think that format is better than the Around the League. An example: http://kumb.com/story.php?id=129521
I can just go cruise HF if I want some Schadenfreude. If something is going to get stickied I'd like it to have some actual analytical value.

Then do it up? I don't think anyone would mind. The fact that Gaskal is willing to commit it to that every game shows dedication. Also. no one ever suggests anything about it and everyone loves it so he just does it the same way each time.
