2. I've stumbled across videos of #2. You may have seen them before as the tiki torch parades or the white nationalists marches with the revamped American flag. All they need to do now is replace the torches and flags with guns. They're already roaming the streets.

What it comes down to is an arrogant and out of touch Dem party that focused on keeping Trump front and center the entire time Biden was in office, further riling up his base. It also comes down to not forcing Biden out of the running before it even began (which was woefully obviously necessary) and making Harris (rightly or wrongly) seem like a last resort candidate instead of having a proper process play out that more disenchanted voters could get behind instead of not voting.

There probably will be mid-terms, but they won't matter. One of Project 2025's primary goals is to purge election officials at all levels and replace them with MAGA diehards. So American elections are about to be as free & open as Russian elections

Bannon, who I don’t agree with but increasingly understand, explains the 51st state idea by saying the Arctic, particularly Canada’s Arctic, will be the new frontier for geo-political competition this century. We are unwillingly in the middle of this.

If we as a country are looking to change our economic fortunes we should be the ones exploiting this. I’d love to hear one of our would-be leaders lay out a strategy.

It's been a while since I read it, my guess is that it's classified as teen novel just because it's a quick and very easy read (and a bit of a dramatization of the true story). It's definitely not the most mature book, but I bet it would be interesting to read it and reflect on the similarities of what we're seeing now.
