Yeah, I think the thing with BARBARIAN is the more you think about it the more it unravels generally. I don't think it's as rewatchable as say MALIGNANT for exammple

That's likely it. I originally was fixated on the booking part because I felt someone was double booking on purpose to get people into the house. The further you get into the movie the less that theory works as it seems like it was pure luck out of convenience to move the plot.

What the hell was up with the rental company? Justin Long's character was told by the company managing the rental that nobody was staying at the house yet clearly they would have records of booking it seeing the lady complained about the double booking. That part doesn't really make any sense unless we are to believe it's the worst rental company ever that doesn't coordinate with the rental apps.

I liked the twists in the story and it was a decent enough movie. Could have been better but that's the case with most horror movies.

She did say that she had no idea how long she was down there so the rental company might have thought no one was staying there currently. Doesn't make sense that no one came to clean the place after both people were to be out of the rental though.

Pretty sure the rental agent said it’s been a couple of weeks since the last guest.
And, when he asked her why it wasn’t clean, she said that they don’t clean the unit until they get the next booking.

I am a huge fan of Black Phone, largely because I dont really enjoy 'Horror' movies and that one was well done and interesting and I really enjoyed it.

It took 25+ years to get around to watching Interview With the Vampire, and what a letdown. There were parts I liked, but the pacing was just brutal.

Great list! I still have yet to see Speak No Evil, Pearl or No Exit will look for those to watch before the end of the year thanks for putting those on my radar!

Watched Bullet Train last night, really fun ride. All of the cameos were awesome and I have a totally new appreciation for the guy that played Kickass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). No idea why it scored so low with critics, I was thoroughly entertained

The best part of that film, and generally the best part of any film he's in was Stephan Rea, I think he got at best 10 minutes

Tom Cruise was superb as Lestadt. And Christian Slater as Daniel was great too.

Pacing is an issue now a days, but when it came out, it would be considered quite normal for a movie of its ilk.

I love the books more than the movies. But it's always a treat to watch now and again. I think it's one of Cruises most under rated movies over time.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson steals the movie IMO. Simply a fantastic performance. We enjoyed this movie as it was just good fun. My only critique is that it’s maybe 15 minutes too long but otherwise one of the better movies I have seen this year.

Watched the 80s vampire movie Vamp yesterday and I really enjoyed it, thought it was great. The story is some college kids try to get a stripper for a fraternity party but all the dancers at the club are vampires. From Dusk Till Dawn borrowed heavily from this movie, if you enjoyed that one give this one a try.

Yeah I really enjoyed it. Probably my only criticisms are is the 2nd half maybe wasn't quite as good and I would have liked more of his songs, though I guess you can't really fit too many in there.
