Decided to give NFS Heat a try since it's on Gamepass and I'm pleasantly surprised. The only NFS games I've ever been into are the Underground ones and the original Most Wanted, all the others I tried were varying levels of meh. But Heat is pretty awesome, thanks to the day/night toggle it basically combines Underground and Most Wanted into the same game, with a Horizon inspired open map. The campaign also has just the right amount of cheese to make it fun, if you liked the PS2 era Need for Speed games then definitely check out Heat
General Radahn keeps messing me up so bad haha. I need to figure out a tactic for him as just running around summoning the NPCs over and over has only got me half way at best.
Try getting one of the Rot spells from the Dragon altar in Caelid. There's initially just 1 that is usable from horseback and costs a single dragon heart, and two full spritzes on his back is all you should need for each phase. Needs to be refreshed after the second phase starts since it falls off. If you manage to kill the Rot dragon right outside the altar, you can buy a 2 dragonheart rot spell that can't be used on horse back but you can shoot him from farther with it, and if you hold down the cast button it'll spend most of your FP to stack up on him.

I’ll have to check this out then. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 was the reason I fell in love with and bought an E39 M5 back in the day. I really miss that era of pure arcade racers.

Yeah but its a glitch wrong warp run. I think the time for non glitch is just over 2 hours which is still really impressive.
I have been doing the wrong warp glitch on new characters I make just so I can get the grace sites that I couldn't get until beating the proper bosses, you can get a +9 magic weapon within 30min. I also got a copy of Elden Ring on PC non legit and downloaded the Elden Ring Randomizer, its pretty fun not knowing what anything will drop besides mandatory items for story progression.
A friend of mine wanted to to play Dying Light 2, I looked into it and didn't want to pick it up at full price so found a copy on kijiji. I never played DL1 more than 30min but had an idea of what it was.
Right out of the gate the jump button is set to R1, WTF is that? He says I think you can change it, ok take a look oh yeah you can set it to L1. Character starts reading a letter its on screen you can read it yourself, he reads it differently than what is on the letter, ok thats a little nit picky, then there is your "survivor sense" its the scan a player does, I scan and see an object on the table go to the table and survivor sense has worn off but thats fine I know where it is, nope you can't see it unless you use survivor sense again.
Then the big one for me, no FOV slider. I get that console isn't known for their FOV but this is a fast moving parkour zombie game, with no slider I instantly got motion sickness especially because I'm constantly spinning around because I have no peripheral vision at all. They said they were going to add it in a patch but I seriously can't play until that is fixed. The menu, nothing in this world is worse than wanting to just open your map since this is an open world game and having to switch tabs to the map tab, well that along isn't bad its the 2 second delay per tab when switching.
I felt bad because after playing so much Elden Ring I ripped into this game and I don't think he wants to play with me anymore, lol. Not sure how much better it is on PC but it does have FOV so its already better but I can't recommend playing it at all, I told him they have a week to add the FOV slider or I'm trading it in while it still has value.
Oh sure Elden Ring just go right ahead and nerf hoarfrost stomp, bloody slash, and mimic tear. Next you’ll tell me I have to learn how to play the game the right way.

I tried it on pc and you can't set your controls at all. No bueno.. returned
I want to like it but we'll see, might be trying to do waaay too much.
It definitely looks more ambitious then I would have guessed. Looks like there is still some jank in the combat, but hopefully that can be ironed out over the next 6-7 months.
To be honest though just creating a character and being able to roam freely around Hogwarts make this a day 1 purchase for me. Everything else is just icing on the cake.
It’s hard to believe it took this long to get an open world Harry Potter RPG made.
Playing Tunic I was thinking "man this game is so hard", then I found out you can level up your abilities lol. Duh. Also just found out about the pray mechanic. Still a bunch of stuff I can't do I'm sure, there's hooks around which I assume is for some kind of grappling hook that I haven't found. Also tuning forks everywhere that I don't know what they do.
Pretty neat game, I like how it rewards exploration but it can be confusing to get around sometimes or understand what it is you're supposed to do next.

I was away for a week but ended up taking Radahn down exactly like this. 2 blasts and he was down. Absolutely loving the game.
