I have been enjoying HZD: FW. It has been a solid sequel so far. The glitches have been pretty funny though. Just finished this epic battle and after a cut scene there was a guy still in a meat grinder with his arm coming out of his head.
I still struggle with AAA titles not being more polished when they come out. As we have all discussed at length before, I feel those studios are lazier now because they know they can patch it.
I've been doing the same in the early game, totally ####ing up animals to do upgrades lol. The partner was hogging Steam for VR so the steam deck was idle for a bit. And it's Triangle day now too.

like it a lot too so far, although it still feels very much like a prologue (I'm in No Man's Land now).
haven't experienced any weird glitches so far. Runs well on PS4 too ... a few ugly popups here or there, but that's about it.
Finished Elden Ring, an ultra rare achievement on PS5 of 0.4% lol. Started over on Journey 2 but decided to reroll a mage and the game is ez mode now compared to a dex build. I wanted to start playing a different game but couldn't, I got sucked back into Elden Ring. Such an amazing game.

Elden Ring is destroying me but it's so much fun. I haven't even got my stupid horse yet. I've been sneaking around some camp killing soldiers and working on learning the nuances of combat and stealth and still dying lots and running to retrieve my Runes before they are gone forever. I'm trying to play it without any help or spoilers the best I can but at this pace I'll need to put in a thousand hours to finish the game and still enjoy every minute of it.

Definitely think it's worth reading a few starting guides if you're new to the series. There's a few basics that if you miss out on it may be frustrating for you.

Horizon's motion/gyro aiming is great. Since they added it to Zelda, I've been hoping it's something we have going forward across the board. Along with better haptics it's pretty much old gen if you don't have it.
So I guess I'm going to have to restart not only Horizon: Forbidden West but Ghost of Tsushima.
Yesterday I blew a fuse downstairs in the basement. It's happened before and all that's happened is my PS5 will check the database but this time when I started it the PS logo came up but the screen went black. I booted it into safe mode and tried everything but resetting because I don't want to lose my game saves but nothing worked. I even unplugged the power and HDMI and left it overnight but it didn't helped. I contacted Sony to see if there's anything I missed but they just recommended doing a reset via USB.
I really wish Sony wouldn't be so cheap and let people backup their saves to the cloud without having to subscribe to PS+ like you don't have to with Xbox. I'm not a multiplayer gamer and pretty much all of the free games are games I already own so it's not a good investment.

I also look stuff up all the time. No point in flying blind and getting frustrated when there is often a quick answer or suggestion available that can really help you out. The game is so huge that I think it's almost impossible to go through it without at least a little help.

Not really many glitches on PS5 for me. Maybe a few little things here and there and only once I hit a spot where Aloy was gliding on air. Climbing mechanics can be a little sloppy at times and I hate that in a game where there's a lot of climbing. This game to me is basically Asassin's Creed with a different storyline and better action mechanics.
It looks like Sony tried to trick me into sending in my out of warranty PS5.
Option 7 in safe mode wouldn't read my USB (seems to be a common problem) but option 3 would. When I told them about that they told me it needed to be serviced. I asked them if I should try 6 and they just said if the other options didn't work it would need to be serviced. I tried it anyway and it worked fine.
I usually like the ways that some games use cel shading (Borderlands is a great example) but the way Valkyrie Elysium does it just makes the game look like it's a $4.99 indie game on Steam.
The combat also looks like a PS3 game. Oh well, it was always destined to be the second best game with "Elysium" in the title at best anyway.

General Radahn keeps messing me up so bad haha. I need to figure out a tactic for him as just running around summoning the NPCs over and over has only got me half way at best.
