They really don’t have a lot of assets. They have a ton of free agents though.
They have 27 picks in the next 3 drafts, and three prospects who were taken in the top 15 of last years draft, plus two more taken in round 2. They drafted 12 players total in their 1st draft. They'd have even more but McPhee being the genius that he is traded away a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick for Tatar to eat popcorn and/or warm the bench. I guess all those picks were burning a hole in his pocket. At least it wasn't Martin Erat this time.
They also have at least half of their roster that they could sell high on because they all had career years.

It's Vegas, they'd have topless/nude burlesque skaters in the pre-game show flying through the air Cirque du Soleil style if it weren't for the pesky FCC.

And half those players are free agents. They need most of those picks. Every other team has had a team of prospects developing... they do not.
No kidding. It's as if some have seen their first playoff pre-game. Especially funny are those that hope the Flames would never stoop so low and put on theatrics of their own
Oh man that gave me goosebumps.

Navras is the ####. If they ever stop using it as the playoff intro music, I swear to god I will disown the Flames and burn the saddledome to the ground.

I was at game 3 of the Western finals when Vegas did the whole arrow shooting and jet destruction intro.
I can see why it looks cheesy on TV, but it was amazing in person and got the whole crowd going. It was by far the most enjoyable hockey game I've every been to (eliminating emotional connection to the Flames and just judging atmosphere/production value from a neutral position).
There were many Canadian hockey fans sitting around us too and everyone was consistently making remarks about how great the experience was and taking notes on what they wish their team did better.
Agreed, you can't f### with navras. Nothing can beat it. It's why I have to be early for all playoff games, whereas regular season it doesn't matter too much.

Karlsson isn't a free agent - they will have to give up significant assets to get him.

They should trade Wild bill and such for him (Pinder suggested this this morning). Instead of overpaying him.

The Knights were apparently very close to a deal for Karlsson at the deadline. Bobby Ryan was packing his bags.
Wouldn't be surprised at all to see McPhee take another run at Karlsson. With one playoff less left on his deal, the price should be cheaper. Maybe something along these lines.
To LVK:
Karlsson
Ryan
To OTT:
Shea Theodore
Nick Suzuki
2nd

No I am not. Just saying that some here get so worked up over little things. Don't like the intro? Fine, doesn't mean you have to voice it. Some opinions are best left in your head. Or at least don't dramatize it like you wouldnt go to a game if your team did that etc. Just such silly stuff.
I see this at work a lot. Get some document and people just pick it apart like it's some garbage. Someone worked hard on it, show some respect.

LFR has a good take on it. Similar to what you said.
Perron, Neal and Ryan Reaves are their big UFAs up front - they can probably retain one of Neal/Perron.
Defensively, they lose Stoner and Sbisa. Everyone else of consequence is an RFA.
They could lose Nate Schmidt the year after, but that's a big maybe - especially if they win.
Vegas could be a threat for a good long while, I'm afraid.
Yeap. Big ole Cup contender with a zillion picks to boot.
I'm just happiest for the Vegas fans. They spent a lot of time in misery watching as the Knights slowly built themselves up through the entry draft and with smart, shrewd trades and UFA signings.
It's nice to see their patience and loyalty finally paying off for them.
