Yes, it's a tough, and at times unacceptable start to the season, but god damn, Flames fans are already becoming insufferable by a large percentage and we're four friggen games into the season.

There were a lot of hard luck losses as they couldn't buy a goal. Right now they really aren't all that competitive. The Oilers are 0-4 but they look like a 4-0 team agains the Flames.

He's just perfectly average. Just average. But average should be good enough for a team with this defence. The Flames' biggest problem is their complete inability to generate sustained pressure in the offensive zone (followed by their second biggest problem, getting in the offensive zone in the first place).

I'd still like to see Ortio in soon though, if only to see what we have there. At this rate, I could see the Flames trading Ortio for a pick and riding our tandem until Gillies and some UFA take over next year.

That's not good enough. "Average" for a 4.5m veteran can get the hell off this team as far as I'm concerned. We are never going to win anything with these two, give Ortio a chance already.

If they trade Ortio for a pick and run with these two duds, I'll lose it...

Hartley plays rookies when they deserve it. Ortio is capable of being good, we've all seen that. He's also had a couple bad games as well. Whose to say he isn't in third place in practice?

Maybe someone that watches them can add some insight. I just trust Hartley to play who he thinks is best.

The guy is a stud and is only going to get better as he adjusts to a new team. Have some damn patience.
