Great win for Canada, Jennifer Jones was just brilliant the entire match. Sweden is one of our toughest competitors, so if we can do that versus Great Britain we'll be looking like favourites.

Looking at some of the x-games footage, it seems this course is quite different and the jumps a lot bigger.

Kaya Turski seriously needs to just come out with the safest, most boring run of her life on this second run to get through. Let everyone else fall apart around and then go for it in the finals.

That's how I feel. Turski with a low DD is similar to how Bilodeau/Kingsbury are with a low DD in moguls. They are so talented that a lower DD still nets you a great run.

So it Turski is the favourite, and we have two other women that are 1 and 2 at the moment. Does that mean we have a possibility of sweeping the medals? Or are their other skiers just savings? their best. I am just some drunk guy wanting to know where we stand.

It's not really that simple. We have two really good shots at the medals in Turski and Howell, but Turski has to qualify first.

The twitter conversation under the search "slopestyle" is hilarious. A lot of people around the world who clearly have never seen or understood the concept of skiing backwards!

Wow, Zimmermann is out. You can see in what she does too that her normal DD is just insane.

Good thing these they brought in the freestyle events, as that's where we're dominating these days. Seems that Canada is falling behind in long-track speed skating and is almost non-competitive in regular skiing. Needed to pick up the medal count elsewhere, and this is it.

Honestly, why do they punish the slopestyle competitors after they fall by making them climb the hill to retrieve their own equipment!? Did Sochi forget this as a volunteer role?

It's day 3, a little premature to be discounting our entire long track and alpine ski team no?
