So because he missed a 15º angle shot the Hawks scored 8 shifts later?

Sharp was the deepest Hawks player on that goal. How is that at all Sven's responsibility?

Yeah that was a wake up call/momentum shift for the Hawks for sure. Just crap luck for Sven though, can't fault him

I'd be upset if he was a right handed shot in that instant and totally missed the net.

Continue being over the top dramatic about it though.
you are just being overly biased toward a Flames player...it was a wide open net, no excuse case closed

over dramatic, probably cost them the game

I'll be happy if we get a point out of this. But of course it's still up for grabs. C'mon Flames, let's get some momentum back!

Berra probably just wants to keep the good times rolling in the shootout.

The fact that he was the closest player to Sharp tells me two things:

1. He's showing complete commitment to the defensive aspect of the game
2. wtf were the defencemen doing?

Why was Baertschi the closest player to the deepest Hawk's forward?

Berra always has 1 average period. Every game, I swear. He's usually solid for 2.

Bottom line, it wasn't his guy. He played the position well, faulting him for that goal is fairly foolish. You saw the initial TSN replay, and assigned blame to the wrong player.

It's actually not case closed, but by all means, continue to be ridiculous

No, I'm watching. Second goal yeah woulda been tough to stop plus a couple skates were in his crease reducing ability for the lateral slide but first one?

You think the Hawks' first goal was unstoppable? If he hugs the post it doesn't go in.

No it's moronic to keep defending this guy game after game of doing nothing. Give your head a shake. Sven apologists are getting old

Remember a couple weeks back when Berra let it that squeaker behind the goal line against the Wings? People were all over him and rightfully so, he has to save that.

Well, Sven has to score there. Call it unlucky, call it tricky, call it whatever you want, it's unacceptable that he missed there. And if Berra is going to get ripped for making an awful mistake, Sven has to as well.

He scores there and this game is all but over and we're in a good mood right now.

Based on the angle Sven had, it was a tough shot to make. It's not as if it was an easy open net shot.

If Patrick Sharp doesn't miss fire on the open net in the first...

Flames collapse in the third period, CP melts down within minutes.

I swear, you could set your watch by this site sometimes.
