It's astonishing how fragile this team is playing with a lead. One flukey goal and they fold up the tent and wave the white towel. Just brutal. This is clearly the Flames' biggest weakness and something to work on for the remainder of the season. This coaching staff definitely has their work cut out for them.

Not trying to be a dick, but that's what happens when a team like the Hawks ratchet up the intensity. Neither were high-skill goals, but they were both top end players going hard. The Hawks just have a level the Flames don't have (yet).

Been a great game for the Flames thus far. Game still very much up for grabs.

Flames have just missed a couple stretch passes...hit one of those, and they can grab momentum again...they just missed Jones before Kane's goal

Wow ... a lot of people on the forum swallowed Hartley's BS about Sven I guess. Blaming him for everything now. It's a shame, and a little embarrassing.

You could see it coming. Flames decide to sit on the lead and now are paying for it!

Figures. Sven would've put it away. But gets s### luck then they get some crap angle goal like edmonton and it's all changed in 1 minute.

Was almost convinced we'd allow less than 2 tonight finally.

I know people like to blame Sven for everything, but come now.
If Sven hits a wide open net...

Oh, I'm sure he will. You're also just assigning me an argument. I said it was a tough angle, should have gone it but it wasn't one of those I worry too much about. When you're coming down the wing like that, on a tough sharp angle you don't have a tonne of room. He tried to put it on the hard right side and didn't make it, it sucks but oh well. I'd be upset if he was a right handed shot in that instant and totally missed the net.

Continue being over the top dramatic about it though.

Bottom line, Sven was the closest player to Sharp, two strides away as he cruised back, and there was no other Hawk player to cover.

The left defender Smid was held up by a Hawks player, Hudler and Butler were on the puck carrier Hossa as he skated left to right.

Last game, Stajan falls on the puck and gets the penalty to give the Hawks a 5-on-3. Tonight, the Hawks do it, no call.
