Latest rumor out there on Darvish Texas and 51 million but only a rumor..

I just have that feeling in the pit of my stomach....just a rumor but why did we have to wait till the night of the announcement for any Rangers rumors to start up?!?

I am starting to feel saddened as the Rangers are starting to pop up in quite a few places... I just get the feeling that they were lurking in the weeds all along, and now they are about to jump out and nut punch me to ruin what was quite an extravagant night of hitting refresh.

Meh, most of the Rangers reports seem like they're reaching. Onley's crap has already been proven bunk by Jim Bowden's tweet that Bobby Valentine and AA haven't spoken in two years. Just an easy way to draw twitter traffic.

The Rangers still might win, but the twitter reports in their favor are pretty weak.

I know - I am just expecting to worst, so I have popped three tabs of acid and drank a litre of flat sprite. Regardless of what happens, I will not feel saddness. EVER.

The fact that both markets seem pretty confident says to me that the two bids are really close. I guess we may not find out the second-place bid, but it wouldn't shock me if both were within a million of one-another.

I will add - I am awfully impressed at how close MLB and the Ham Slingers have kept this to their vests. Very impressive in the world we live in, and I must say - awfully suspenseful. I kind of like this better than a leak five or six hours before an announcement is made.

AA knows how big of a blow this could be to the psyche of Jays fans if they lose this bid.

Something tells me he would have come out and tempered expectations a lot more if he felt there was a decent chance they lose the bid.

Unfortunately I think all the stories have been baseless speculation as much as I'd like to see Darvish to the Jays. I think the jays put in a decent bid considering how much they saved on payroll this year and AA flying over to japan twice but if it leaked from somewhere legit it would be everywhere in a flash.

Anthopolous did say that if the Jays are rumoured to be in on some fashion of a deal/trade, then it is probably not true... Maybe he was telling us all along.
