Really enjoyed The Devils Hour. Season 1 was great the way it was so unexpected. Season 2 picks up where it left off. Strongly recommend. The actor that plays Gideon is so good, especially in season 1.

Watched the first episode of Dune Prophecy. Pretty damn good so far. The story takes place about 10,000 years before the events of the two Denis Villeneuve films and shares the exact same overall aesthetic. I’m looking forward to seeing where they go with it. HBO obviously put a lot of money into this series, as the effects and CGI are on par with the films.

I know it's an unpopular take, but the whole Dune hype doesn't do anything for me.
I've watched both films within the last 6 months and apart from being visually stunning I don't remember a thing about them.

Which would be better to start from episode one: Dawson’s Creek or One Tree Hill?

Depends. Are you trying to fry your brain or just want to poke your eyes out?

In what way? What previous era shows do you feel were better than what’s on now we can use for reference? We’d be happy to try and help you find something that doesn’t “suck” but a 3 word sentence doesn’t help much.

It's still a mystery to me...

I’m burnt out on dramas with plots that go nowhere or get cancelled prematurely. Cliffhanger endings are especially annoying these days when there can be a year or more between seasons.
There are very few comedies that are any good, and for the first time in my life there isn’t a single network sitcom I like.
Obviously lots of people are finding shows they like because this thread is full of them. I’m just not one of them. Maybe things will change, but for now I watch a lot of science YouTubers and movies.

Finished Cross on Prime. It was alright. Drug on a bit too long - was pretty clear 'they're not going to catch the bad guy because there's 4 more episodes'.
Also hate when you have a detective they portray as super brilliant and then the inconsistency where they make stupid mistakes to move the plot along. And same when the bad guy all of a sudden becomes superhuman just for an extra twist.
But really, it just drove home how much I miss that short-lived era of TV without ads.
Clearly has come to an end with the number of ad breaks they fit in to each episode. So annoying.

There's that new Ted Danson comedy debuting on Netflix, which in itself didn't have me too interested. But when I heard it's from producers who created or worked on Parks & Rec, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Good Place? Yeah, I'll be checking it out.
