Decided to blow through Agatha today. The show was clearly meant for teens. Personally, I can't stand shows that try to be deep, but it's all things that you've seen a thousand times. It's astoundingly mid.

Watched Banshee based largely off this thread. Started out really good. Got insanely ridiculous and tedious as it progresses. Everyone ends up being a John Wick Jason Bourne hybrid by the third season.

Just finished season 2 of The Diplomat last night, starring Keri Russell and Rufus Sewell.
I liked season one as a show of political intrigue and backroom dealing, and a great character study of a professional problem solver being thrust into what should be a bland posting. It was good, not great.
Season two is much more spy drama mixed with politics than season one, and a really good one at that. I heartily recommend this show now. Really worth the time. It's only 8 episodes in season 1 and 6 episodes in season 2.

Agreed on this, although I was also a really big fan of season 1. Allison Janney is such a great addition in season 2. I love how tight the focus is: two seasons both looking at the ramifications and fall-out of one single incident.
TBH I was kind of disappointed by Season 2 of the Diplomat. The characters felt a little less complex, especially the ambassador and her husband. I loved them in season 1,and how it felt like they were a step ahead of me as a viewer. Kind of lost that feel, they just seem to be reacting now. Still a pretty good show though.
After really getting into Slow Horses I decided to check out more on Apple TV+.
Loved Severance. Not sure I’ve ever been as hooked on a show and that one big twist blew me away. Glad I took a while to find this so I only have a couple months until S2 instead of over 2 years.
Watching Shrinking now. Definitely see the Ted Lasso influence with a lot of humour mixed with darker mental health themes. Also has an ensemble cast with some plot lines being more enjoyable than others. Really like Jason Segal’s emotive comedy, and Harrison Ford as a grumpy old man, while the Jessica Williams character is super annoying.
Think I’ll watch Silo next.

Must repeat, as we finished it last night, Say Nothing is excellent. 9 episodes on Hulu/FX/Disney+
It is an adaptation of the 2018 book by Patrick Radden Keefe and follows the lives of people in Belfast starting in the 1970s and their involvement in the Irish Republican Army, and focuses on The Disappeared - most specifically the murder of Jean McConville.
Quality television.
