this is how I could see it shake out, leaving us with a choice of Catton, Dickinson, Sennecke and Helenius. And I'd probably go with that order too.

Yeah, most people assumed she wanted them to take Tkachuk, who was consensus BPA at the time and definitely who they should have taken. But she wanted Zadina and she said later if the team wanted Kotkaniemi rather than Zadina, they should have traded down for him.
Mckenzie's final 2018 rankings had Kotkaniemi as a late riser into the top five, so not really off the board, and probably not a trade down option, but the reaction was amazing.

Last year I remember playing in a golf tournament on draft day in Edmonton and watched the entire draft in my hotel room being so disappointed by the fact there were zero trades during the first round. I get the feeling this year will be different. Last year we had crazy rumors and this year it has subsided but Conroy has his legs under him now and has made many deals. The flames direction is far clearer this year vs last and the amount of flexibility and assets they have compared to last year is staggering. I hope we see fireworks that get us all out excited
