I agree in that I have never been as excited for a draft however I'm also hoping that this isn't the norm with the draft being the highlight of every season like it has been for Oilers fans for years now.

Yes. It would be worse than if O'Reilly didn't get matched and he got claimed off waivers.

Kind of feel like Cartman right now waiting for Nintendo Wii to be released. Cryo stasis for 25 days can't be THAT bad can it?

27: Pitt loses to Boston and Chi loses to LA

29: Pitt beats Bos but loses in the Cup finals
30: Pitt wins the cup
so far, the games are hinting towards 28, but lots of hockey left

as per Freeway on twitter, none of the conditions in the Jaffray trade with Anaheim were met, so we don't trade 7th rounders with the Ducks this year. Seems like a small detail, but drafting 187th instead of 207th is a good thing in my book

no idea, those things normally don't get announced publicly. I'd expect the potential switch of picks would be conditioned upon standings and/or number of NHL games of the players for the acquiring clubs ... which is a big zero for both players anyway.
MacMillan is now playing in Austria btw. What a waste of a 1st round pick by the Ducks ... 5 goals in 72 AHL games. Ouch.

I hope to see even just one more pick squeezed into the 2nd round... That would be outstanding!!

One possibility is ditching the Pittsburgh's 28th pick and maybe doing a deal with Montreal if they really like someone left late in the 1st. They have three 2nd round picks.

TSN is going to broadcast the whole thing IIRC.
6 pack of beer, full bag of chips, and 7 hours of draft coverage before I am off to a wedding.

If you are going to watch all 7 hours of the draft, you will need more than a 6 pack.

I shall be hunting high and low for an online stream, I doubt the NHL thinks about their fans outside of NA and make it available anywhere official .

I had a weekend away planned with the wife to Boston leaving on the 28th coming home on July 1, I've changed it to leaving on the 27th and coming home on the 30th so that i'm home in time for the draft..............my wife doesn't know thats the reason for the change in dates, lol. I told her flights were cheaper those days, lol.
