Jays up 4-0 in the top of the first against Garza who had the hit hand going into this game. Good way to help Cecil in his first start of the year. Should take a little pressure off.

Apparently it's not blacked out in "Parts Unknown".

What's the deal with Gonzalez? This guy has been pretty awesome so far this season. And great for Cecil, all you can hope for when you call up a minor leaguer is for some solid innings and a chance to win........good stuff.
Frasor.......not a fan.

Every team gets those one off year players who just go lights out under a new situation. We lucked out getting Gonzalez, hopefully he can keep it up.

Scutaro had a pretty good April too for the Jays last year where he hit like 5 or 6 home runs and had close to 20 RBI. and had like a 920 OPS. Jays seem to be able to get good production from their short stops in April.

Romero is off to another fantastic start here tonight ... 1 hit after 3 innings. 0-0 in the top of the 4th.

Is Cito allergic to pinch-hitting?

Cito being a slave to the save killed the Jays tonight.
Why you bring your 4th or 5th best reliever in Janssen into that sort of situation in the 8th with none out is ridiculous managing. But I guess that's par for the course with the modern day MLB so it's hard to complain.

4th 5th best reliever? Im pretty sure he had only given up 1 run in 8 innings in the regular season plus 9 shut-out innings in spring training...... he is also 3-0 from keeping games close enough in late innings that the jays came back to win. Yes he was awful tonight but every reliever has games like this. Hopefully they can rebound tomorrow to take 2 of 3 in tampa which any team in the mlb would be happy with.
