Sure must seem like that in contrast to the perpetual Oil fellating on Sportsnet.

Oh good, the Oilers won a few games and coincidentally some of their fans have regained internet access.

No they just get really busy cleaning their sweatpants so they aren't on the internet and it's a coincidence it happens while they are losing.

They're on a league mandated quarter pole laundry and shoe polishing break.

When I mentioned it to my wife she said, "Who?" Followed by, "The Canadian What of What?"

I have to think this is because of how quietly Crosby just goes about being one of the best hockey players of all time. It's all about the team for him; he has a long, long history now of deflecting attention.

You are joking, right? I thought the Walk of Fame was for actual accomplishments. I would be bloody embarrassed.

Connor has won something?
At what level? Drawing a blank.
Olympic diving isn't until next summer.

I think they give out an award for anyone who'll show up. Must be a lot of casinos in and around Toronto for all those bands to swing by.

Ah, I get it. Obviously the Canadian Walk of Fame is a meaningless event just to give people something to do. Up until now, I always thought it was an organization celebrating the accomplishments of Canadians across many categories that have enriched the lives of millions of Canadians. Silly me.

McDavid on the Canadian Walk of Fame, hah. Is that a satire article?
You should have to do something that generally makes Canadians proud. Now, he inarguably deserves to be the charter member of the Rogers Sportsnet Walk of Fame.

The one thing that consistently makes Canadians proud is ‘Not Being American’.
If McDavid played for Pittsburgh and Crosby for Edmonton, I suspect Crosby would be on the Walk of Fame and McDavid wouldn't even be considered.

I like this game.
Chatted with missus and her first reaction was, "isn't he pretty young?" I asked her to clarify and she said "well I thought you have to achieve something first?"
Then mentioned Crosby hasn't been honoured in the same way, and she was surprised, plus she also wondered why Iggy hadn't been given the golden goal.
Like their wins, powerplays and media love, always given, never earned.

Hearing my son chuckling to himself in the other room “lol the Oilers are in 29th place lol” warms my cold dead heart.
