Just seeing Son have a great day and get the monkey off his back made me smile. He’s just such a likeable guy, and one of those guys who you just know is such a nice person in real life.

They are the surprise candidate to go down this season.

It is difficult to see how outside of an amazing January window and a coaching change, how Leicester don’t go down. They look amazingly brittle.

I just saw that Ward has let 22 goals in on 43 shots thus far. They can’t replace him until January…that’s obviously not ideal. I haven’t watched all their games, so there are likely a couple more that were called back based on that performance yesterday.
I don’t know if it’s Rodgers, or whether the players have just downed the tools? The squad overall doesn’t seem that bad, but they just look terrible.

when Rodgers called out ownership a couple of weeks ago about not investing into the squad, it might have cost him internally, but he was absolutely spot on. This was a really good squad three years ago, but they failed to build on it. They made a #### ton of money when they sold Maguire, Chilwell and now Fofana, but their incoming transfers have been mediocre at best. Some players have regressed (like Tielemans), others got old (like Vardy) and most of the new signings haven't had a huge impact. It's just not that good of a squad anymore and Rodgers is certainly not the great manager that some media outlets claimed he was.
He hasn't been sacked yet, but the media has already started to name possible replacements. Thomas Frank has been named, but I don't see how or why he would go there right now. If he stays at Brentford until the summer, he'll surely have better offers then.

^during the broadcast yesterday they said his net spend during his tenure is £3m. That’s ridiculously low, and I’m not sure what they would expect!

Arsenal brought on a 15 year old today. Genuinely thought you had to be 16 (like in most leagues), but nope

That was actually crazy, I had no idea you could play someone that young and didn't even know of the player.
Hopefully he is the next Messi

The 15 year olds never end up being the next Messi.
Arsenal already has the most hyped young phenom of the last generation currently in their squad: Martin Ødegaard. He turned out pretty good in the end, despite the ridiculous expectations on him.

yeah those "wonderkids" who get thrown into the fire early rarely become superstars in the end.
in general, I think there should be a minimum age of 16 anyway. You just don't do those kids any favour.

I like it. Good management.
It doesn't do them any harm either and sends the message down through the academy that if you're good enough you'll get a sniff of the first team changing room. Keeps them hungry.
Contrast that with United where its only this year that Jones has been kicked out of it and down the corridor to the U23s to make way for fresh blood.
I'd rather a hungry teenager get a spot on the bench and train with the first team than a comfortable, lazy disinterested social media whore like, say, Lingard.
Sends the message, nothing is guaranteed and keeps players on their toes.

I was only joking with the Messi comment obviously; I have no idea if this 15 year old is even highly hyped.
Definitely feels too young to me; there should be a minimum age IMO.

David Moyes has to be on the hot seat? A loss to Everton in an early relegation battle 6 pointer can’t bode well.

The Spurs getting dominated.
6'1 Romero gets bullied by 5'9 Jesus in the box and Royal has a royal meltdown trying to break Martinelli's ankle.
And as I type it's 3-1. Even Xhaka looking good!
Conte responds by bringing on three defenders.

Spurs have gotten results up to this point this year, but really there have been some red flags in terms of their inability to really dictate the game and dominate possession.
Caught up to them today

The complete garbage red card was the dagger though. I think they get back to even without that.

Nah, outside of a 10 minute stretch after the penalty Arsenal have been well on top. But that's been Spurs all season, credit to grinding out results, but they've generally not looked good at all this season, getting bullied in midfield almost every game.

Yeah, it was the red card. Spurs were bossing it up to that point.
Apart from comical defending for what was a penalty, this was easily the most comfortable I’ve been watching an NLD.
The ref got all the calls right. Unlike when you played Chelsea.
