He meant financially doped. Chelsea wasn't elite until Roman spent insane money.

Games officially postponed this weekend, and apparently next weekend will be off as well for the funeral. I get wanting to show respect to the Queen and all, but a lot of travelling fans, both domestic and international, have already committed money to this weekend, so that really sucks for them. And the schedule for this season, already compressed due to winter WC, will be even more compressed. Seems short sighted.

It’s going to interesting to see where they manage to jam in these matches with the schedule already so compacted.

The obvious solution is Boxing Day double headers.

Problem is the police in London

Not enough to go around, my guess is it goes ahead with possibly a few games missed depending on when the funeral is

calling off the games this weekend is so dumb. There's rugby, there's cricket, there's all kinds of sports ... but oh dear God, we absolutely need to postpone football! Makes it even more daft when you factor in that they might have to call off next weekend's games, which I actually get because of the police thing. But this weekend? Stupid. And it's being criticized in England too, where they certainly do love their royals.

I didn’t realize that everything else was on! That’s so dumb. Obviously from a selfish point of view, I want to watch games, but from a logistics point of view this is going to be brutal for a lot of clubs.

Such a rushed kneejerk reaction. Could have waited, guaged the mood and seen what other sports were doing.

Apparently the funeral is Monday, so they should be able to play games next weekend. Millwall says they're playing Tuesday and Saturday, so maybe just one week to find a space for at some point.

like I said, postponing the games this past weekend was rushed, unnecessary and just dumb overall. Season is brutal as it is thanks to that Qatar BS, finding two additional dates is anything but easy.

Apparently Arsenal won't be able to play against PSV this Thursday in the Europa either. It's hard to say though...they could also have one case of Covid or some other reason to try to reschedule that one! Allegedly, it's a policing issue though.

I would imagine Steve Cooper is out after tonight, although in some ways he never had a chance, expecting him to gel 20 new players into something cohesive. But after all the spending I can't imagine he has much, if any, rope.

Son seemed to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder today about being dropped.

Those first two goals were class.

I know we normally joke about Big Sam in these scenarios, but Leicester desperately need someone to instill some defensive stability, they've looked abject defensively this season.

Ward may be the worst keeper in the league in a long time

Has zero command in his box
