If you are in the camp of people who think Trump is tanking because he doesn't want to win, retweeting a video where an old white dude says "white power" would be a pretty good piece of evidence he wants out (I don't think we need much more evidence he's a racist)
The rally was organized by local elected Republican officials, who can easily be mistaken for far right wing extremists. The local councilor who is upset with Cohen says he is upset for the local republican elected member of the assembly Matt Marshall along with Allen Acosta who is running for the GOP to try to get elected because they organized this rally and it was ambushed. Odd thing about the 9 minute video, nobody boos, nobody shouts Cohen down, there definitely does not seem to be any opposition.
I read it was organized by the 3 Percenters, a far-right white supremacist militia group. I'm not sure if it makes it better or worse that it was actual elected Republican politicians who organized it rather than an extremist group.
As bad as it sounds, I think it's only a matter of time before he drops an N-bomb either in a tweet, press conference or a secret recording that gets leaked. Everyone knows Trump is a racist. His family, his staff, his colleagues and his opponents all know it. Yet he seems to be able to tip-toe around the topic since that ''smoking gun'' word hasn't' been spoken publicly yet (AFAIK) so his supporters are able to play it off as either an error or joking around.
Is it wrong for me to hope he'd just say it and get it over with so that his supporters have no veil left to hide behind and we can all unanimously agree he is what he is? I feel terrible for writing that. But it's sickening how he is able to dance around the topic, where as if he says it publicly and on record, it is officially out in the open and no further excuses can be made.

Would it make a difference, or would he just come out with conflicting and obfuscating statements afterwards as him and his team usually do?
At this point, apologists are already committed to backing him no matter what.

There was a far-right white supremacist rally in Olympia, Washington today. Shortly before the event started, an anonymous donor hired security staff and paid for a country band to perform. The singer got the crowd to chant along to lyrics like "Journalists, what we gonna do? Chop 'em up like Saudis do!" and "Dr. Fauci, what we gonna do? Inject him with the Wuhan Flu!"
Eventually, the neo-Nazi organizers of the rally realized their event attendees were being trolled and tried to cut the mic and get the band off the stage. Except the AV crew and the event security staff worked for the anonymous donor, so they allowed the band to keep playing.
The anonymous donor/singer is allegedly Sacha Baron Cohen.
Damnit... I have the Twitter video of another perspective of Sacha’s song (continues after the 8 min youtube vid) and getaway in his ambulance as blocked by some irate right wingers, but I can’t share the tweet since the account is made private.
I still have the Twitter thread opened on my desktop and can still watch the videos.
Anyone with any advice on how I can get around this?

Maybe try looking at the URL, copy the long series of numbers, and then put it between tweet tags like this:
Fox's coverage on Trump retweeting the "white power" Trump supporter and the controversy around reports that Trump was given intelligence on Russia offering bounties to Taliban loyalists for dead Americans in Afghanistan.

I thought that there is a clip of Trump saying as much on The Apprentice, but that the producer isn’t willing to release it?
Strategy wise, if Trump looks like he is about to lose, is it better for him to resign and get a pardon by Pence or risk whatever happens when a new president is sworn in? Or would a pardon by Pence be meaningless since it would be non-specific?

He has to be convicted of something before being able to be pardoned, and for some reason a sitting president has been declared to be immune from any criminal charges. When he's no longer president is when you'll see NY state start actual criminal proceedings against him, that is if Trump and Barr don't manage to purge every honest judge left

Just slip him a “get out of jail free” card straight from Monopoly. He will 100% think it’s real, keep it in his wallet, and step away quietly. Only to hilariously play it later. It’s a triple win.
