Is it unfair when it's a gift to be here and experience all this stuff to begin with? Life is winning the lottery.

I think it's amazing Chris got to do as much as he did. Worked in a prominent position doing something people dream of, had a family & kids who will carry on his legacy and probably did his fair share of giving back and helping make a difference in the community with the Flames. He got to live a pretty exciting life and I'm sure he was feeling nothing but gratitude for it all each day given the way he approached the last 4 years (didn't slow down and embraced each day)

One's impending mortality isnt a unilaterally sad thing. It also gives everything meaning and makes the experiences we have that much more special.

Reading about what that family are going through now is heartbreaking. Reading all the tributes and what you all have to say here is heartwarming.

I hope that in time, the Snow family can take comfort from the obvious love and support that people feel towards them.

Kelsie just posted on instagram ‘There was never, ever going to be enough time with you, my love.’

Chris did so much good, that whole family has, if I’m crying this hard I can only imagine for them. Holding you in my heart Snow family, this is such a sad day but his memory and his legacy have grown roots that are so strong. RIP Chris.

I think most would see that as a stoned post trying to take some positive. Does it miss the mark? Kinda. I believe everything is kosher in grieving.

I think TrentCrimm was going for something like this quote from George Bernard Shaw:

“This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. Being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it what I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.“

Thoughts and prayers to the Snow family. I followed this story since it began 4 years ago. A beautiful family. Rest in peace Chris and I hope the community continues to rally around the Snow's.

It's nice to see the love and support come in on wishes but also on the monetary front for his family (they surpassed the 100 K gofund me goal). Great to see people around the NHL (NHLPA, Adam Fox, Giordano's, Emily Cave who lost her husband Colby, Blake Coleman, etc contribute to the cause).

Much love to the Snow's and the Flames community.

Can’t say it better than Jake, so sad for this family right now and keeping them in my thoughts. RIP Chris, what an amazing thing you have done gifting life to 4 others, what a remarkable man, the courage this took for him to fight this long is unreal to consider. Missing you already Chris.

A story of loss. Absolutely heartbreaking for the family. What is currently going on in my life pales in comparison. RIP Snowy. May your spirit help your family continue.
