Petan is talented. But he has never shown the kind of talent Gaudreau has. I have seen a lot of Petan in junior (played with a family friend). He has offensive skills - the kind of offensive skills that each team has only one or two prospects with.
But Gaudreau showed - consistently - that he has special skills, Kane-like skills. And he kept showing it. His NHLe in his 3rd year of college at 20 (Petan's current age) was 67.
What has Petan done to make a comparison with Gaudreau valid? (other than also being small)
