Oh maybe he's doing the typical Iginla humble post game interview?
Nothing wrong with being a fan btw.

Iggy had a terrible game besides that one shift. Anyone claiming differently has the rose goggles on. He could be nursing an injury or something because has never looked that bad to me. I hope he isnt burnt out or hurt

like a wet blanket when everyone here discussing the win saw what happened. It's no surprise your comments got the reaction they did.. and you did indeed seem like you think your witty negativity is some kind of fresh take here. It was already pointed out what a difficult task it is to redirect a puck at that speed and it was a game winning overtime playoff goal nonetheless. I just don't get why there's one in every crowd like you who thinks they're the cool guy coming in tempering enthusiasm. But by all means, keep it up.

haha, did you guys watch that? It wasn't a fluke that he touched the puck on the game winning goal. That is skill, he might have tipped it wide but even getting a touch was impressive. I don't care, I am here to cheer on Iggy to win the cup. Go Bruins!

This is like a flashback to post game threads of 3 or 4 years ago.
Maybe not Iginla's best game, but he was a difference maker when it mattered and he had a great shift which led to the winning goal. Maybe people should adjust their expectations given where he is at in his career. The guy is 36 freaking years old and was third in points on a Presidents' trophy team and he's still playing in the top 6.

Really like Kevin Miller as a big defensemen who plays a smart game. Those bruins are so good at finding these gems.

Attaboy Iggy! I had recorded the game and managed not to have it spoiled for me.
Love that magnificent son of a gun.

Happy to see the Bruins get the W. Also, was super happy for iggy getting that tip in.
I completely agree that he had a pretty atrocious game, especially in his own zone, but hey, 1 more win till the 2nd round folks!

Nah, it wasn't what you said, it's how and why you said it. Think about that post from the gear grinding thread a week ago; "Guys that always say "I just tell it like it is"." You're being that guy. In fact, you literally said you're just telling it like it is in one of your posts.
The worst part is though, you're not even saying something that people didn't know, or didn't want to believe, as if you were just the one with the balls to proclaim it because gal darnit, you just tell it like it is!
Everyone knows what happened, we were just relishing the moment and cheering for Iggy, and you felt the need to be a wet blanket. You posted it as if it was contrary to everyone being happy for Iggy, that was the key part of your post that annoyed people.
You're an abrasive poster, which is fine, but just don't be surprised when people take issue with your posting style. Not a big deal, though. We can move on.

Box score says 100% capacity. Now of course that doesn't mean 100% attendance, but all tickets were sold so it's not all bad for the Wings.
Boston finds itself up 3-1 in the first round. Will they need a last minute game 7 miracle again? Highly unlikely but who knows.

Yeah, I'd imagine the Wings bought up the remaining tickets themselves to give away so they can still claim sell out.

I'm here to talk about hockey not make people happy, if we all just sat here and agreed with each other this place wouldn't be much of a message board
its funny to me that Iggy himself said he had a bad game and goal was a fluke yet some of you are jumping all over me.
anyway I don't care, its always the same guys offended when someone happens to have a differing opinion

I think that's a bit of an optical illusion that happens at Joe Louis because the seats are the same colour as the Wings' jersey. When you're watching the game at full speed, it's hard to tell if you're looking at a bunch of empty seats, or people wearing Wings colours.
When you look at still photos from the games, it's hard to pick out very many empty seats in the crowd.
When I was watching Game 3, I thought it looked like a lot of empty seats, then the Bruins were up 2-0 late in the game, and I saw what it looks like when the seats really are empty.
