Tell him to stop going all Jim Hughson when we play the Oilers then. It's pretty noticeable you know.

That is a good point. I just think he has made some poor decisions in the offensive zone and hasn't been that strong in the defensive zone. Obviously I'm being a little too critical of his play. Seems everyone is happy with Sven's effort tonight, so that means he's probably got it going.

Looks like he's on the verge of going on another tear I think. Quietly points in 2 straight now. And he might not be done for tonight. Judging by his ice time, looks like he's catching on to what the coaches were looking for, too.
|
I don't hate Sven, I love this kid. But while he has the greatest intentions and the skills to make some fantastic plays (and he has and I am sure he will continue to do so), he makes some careless plays. He got his ass chewed for the offside call earlier, he's made a couple of bad passes, but his effort and skill set is tremendous and he just needs a little polishing. He's on the perfect team for it, one that's got lots of young guys and rebuilding. I love watching him play.

I've been most impressed by Stempniak.
Also Hudler makes good plays but that goes without saying.

He's doing what the coach is asking him to do. He's engaged in the play and creating scoring chances. I like what i'm seeing from Bart tonight and hope it continues.

He has more fights than jackman! Gets bertuzzied by Ference, loses a tooth and comes back the next period! Impressed!

Yup. It's always about what the Oilers are doing wrong and not about why the other team is having its way with them.

I fully admit that one crossed the line, but come on, you're going to live a pretty sad life if you can't separate humour from reality. Jokes aren't meant to be taken seriously.

Ference needs more than a pep talk.
He needs to feel the wrath of McGratton and his knuckles.

Well, the third period has been the Flames best period so far this season. Let's hope they keep it up and get Berra a very deserved W.
