It's a pretty ridiculous scenario in the comics with Batman always being able to get too close. With Superman's powers he could flick a pebble at Batman from a mile away and kill him.
That's exactly what I was getting at.

Supermans powers takes away all plausibility of any real fight. It's stupid and I think making a superhero who can literally do anything makes it impossible for me to enjoy it.

I just can't turn off the part in my brain that says "he could squash him like a fly at any time"

You've got to read more comic books. Batman prepares for any and all eventualities and hes got 1 rule that he will not break under any circumstances, everything else is fair game.

But I still don't see how you can prepare for a guy that can kill you on sight "faster than a speeding bullet" in a million ways unless you use kryptonite.

I have no clue, I just wanted to imagine Batman taking down a helicopter with a tranquilizer dart. If anyone could do that, it'd be Batman.

Because Superman won't kill him...

It's not that he can't.

Hopefully they expand on this moral code, especially since he killed Zod in the last movie.

I think they'll use that as one of the reasons he decides not to kill.

People seem to forget that what we saw in Man of Steel wasn't Superman. It was an alien just finding out where he's coming from, and being called into action in public before being properly prepared, facing a battle-worn General.

Was it really supposed to go smoothly?

If you're interested in the dynamic,I really recommend you check out The Dark Knight Returns.

If you don't want to read the book, there is a great two-part animated movie. It's on Netflix and is a pretty much shot-for-shot remake of the book.

It mostly focuses on Batman, but the end includes the definitive Superman vs Batman battle. It zeroes in on their philosophical differences strengths and weaknesses, portraying Batman as a neo-facist and Superman as a capitalist puppet.

I'm starting to get the impression that DC is never going to have a number attached to any of their films. No Man of Steel 2 for example. They will simply name each movie, and have characters jump in and out as the story requires.

I personally prefer this. It may confuse people who aren't following everything, but I just find it to be more original and interesting.

Although I wish they had called this year Batman vs Superman OR Dawn of Justice, not both. Or something else.

Thor: Ragnarok is way better than Thor 3.

Is that actually him in the suit? It looks like someone just shopped his chin and eyes into it. Love the suit though.

Do you ever shave, Ben? I mean, I'm a proponent of the scruffy look myself, but I'm not an actor who has to pretend to be different people. How can you do that with same stubble all the time?

I don't think it looks good at all. I'm a DC guy but that looks like a turkey.

Wow, that looks incredible. I really hope that skycraper destruction is the fight with Zod in Man of Steel and Superman doesn't actually destroy Gotham as well. Either way, think Im siding with Batman. Superman cant just destroy a city with all his alien buddies without consequence.
