Just hope EA won't tune the game to more arcade-ish after release because everyone wants big shot, big hit, super deke and lighning speed... :P
I think the best way is to simply get in the passing/shooting lanes.

I noticed in the Demo that you really have to take a better positional approach to the game because you could no longer just track a guy down after he beat you with half a step.

I posted it before, but you should all really start to try to make plays off rebounds. The best addition to the game so far has been the goalies.

I think the puck physics are the best addition to the game. The way the puck comes off your stick feels so natural now, especially with one timers. I love how when a goalie deflects the puck off his blocker, it actually bounces off with a great amount of realism.

Also, shoot-outs and breakaways are much tougher now. Gone are the days of easily scoring with a backhand-forehand deke.

Very excited about the game and it will be a long 3 weeks wait...

And I accidently started a goalie fight.. (i have the habit of skating my G to centre ice after the whistle... which now triggers a fight)

I like how wrist shots have been redone. They were so wimpy last year. Now you can get some mustard on wrist shots.

Anyone have the player overall stats yet?

Hopefully Iginla is still 92.

In the demo I heard Luongo was a 90 and Thomas an 89.

I got Iggy in HUT. He is rated 90 with a 92 potential.

In my HUT I got Shea Weber, I proceeded to play a game. I got to the Canucks where I tried to smoke Burrows coming in. Not only did Burrows not go down, but Weber went down to his knees and Burrows went in to score.

#### that.

I did get a GW penalty shot goal with Bartschi though. So it resembles some realism.

I got a goalie interference penalty somehow for being at the top of the crease.... that's like the third penalty in 2 games and I'm not even touching the goalie.
Then, after whistles, I do hit him, and get nothing...

Finally broke the glass by hitting Hamhius through it. The effect was neat, but the hit that caused it was really weak. I think it has more to do with positioning of the 2 players rather than the force of the hit.

Which is actually quite realistic. Yes force is required, but the angle & orientation of impact plays a very big role.

I haven't gotten a goalie interference penalty yet, but after the whistle I ran the goalie about 5 times, knocking him down then going to hit him again, no penalty. haha

I'm going to try and get a penalty shot and just run him.

Ok, so I just got a penalty after the whistling for running Luongo like a bulldozer. It's possible.

You sure you didn't miss Luongo and he faked it?

Nevermind, this game is totally worth it. This happened after some little bitch decided to run me.

So he's only a 90 in game?

Do you not get to keep your HUT team from the demo? I'm confused how the HUT demo team works.

You don't get to keep anything. Your HUT team would be stacked then.

Does the goalie get a penalty for fighting and does he get kicked off the ice?

You get a new HUT team every time you play the demo or restart it.

Check your scratched roster too. I had Malkin and Iginla in my scratched roster pile and Mason as a G scratched for some scrubs
