Not meaningful but still funny. Trump's lawyers for this conflict of interest reduction exercise, Morgan Lewis, was 2016's Russia Law Firm of the Year.

Does Pointman ever post in here? I'm curious about their (Russians) opinion of the alleged (confirmed?) Russian involvement in the US election.

The call used to be a crazy person with a gun opened fire today at . . . .
will soon be replaced
A crazy person with a nuclear arsenal opened fire today killing millions.
The only thing that would make this even more entertaining is if Trump had appointed Tom Cruise as his Minister of Religious freedom.

Poorly worded but I would interpret as life time employment from Mark Cuban, and payment of damages from breaking the confidentiality agreements, in return for distributing tapes. But they are scared of releasing due to repercussions beyond monetary....

I have no idea what just happened with that Trump presser...other than a lot of people making fools of themselves. Trump (not that he cares), the tax attorney, several members of the press, etc. It's too bad the Buzzfeed posting was such a screw up b/c the legit stuff to be concerned about is getting buried.
Trump tax returns has almost reached the Hilary email level of pointless.

I came across one person who essentially said that the MSM was pushing this as "fake news" to distract from Pizzagate.

LOL, I still can't believe Donald Trump is going to be the President of the United States, and represent them on the international stage for four years (if he makes it that long). He's going to get destroyed.
Well done America.

And even then if his familial relations still have ownership the conflict of interest may still exist.

With respect to the emoluments clause, his lawyer mentioned any money that is paid to the Trump Organization from foreign state governments, heads of state, or state orgs (example them using Trump branded hotels) would be donated to the US treasury so the money would not goto the Trump Organization (and thus Trump and his family) and instead would goto the US public.

That doesn't change anything. The money paid for lodgings is not where the main concerns for conflict of interest are

That's not what she said. She said:
"So, President-elect Trump has decided, and we are announcing today, that he is going to voluntarily donate all profits from foreign government payments made to his hotel to the United States Treasury. This way, it is the American people who will profit."
Just foreign government payments to his hotel (singular, likely in reference to the one in Washington that's been in the news).
Many will come away with the same impression you did though and think the conflict of interest issue has been mitigated, but it hasn't.

Fair point, but missing the pluralization doesn't mean explicitly she is referring to one hotel. It could be, but It could also have been a slip in her speech. Regardless the truth will come out once those payments to the US Treasury go on record.
