You only say that because you are outside of the air-drift range of the fallout.

Well he has resigned from all positions and Installed a 3rd party ethics watchdog that has to sign off on all buisness transactions for the organization for one. Divest was the wrong word use. Separate management from ownership responbilities is better

I'm assuming it will just re-hash whatever essay-nobody-asked-for Scott Adams will crap out in the next 30 minutes.

Sure, but that still doesn't say how it avoids a conflict of interest. It's not a conflict of decision making, it's a conflict of interest, and Trump still has interest no matter what. As the lawyer said, he can't forget what he owns.

So the question is still what prevents Trump from making decisions that may appear to be made to benefit himself?

Republican Senator says that with the Obamacare replacement you will still be able to get insurance if you have a pre-existing condition.

Isnt he still in non-compliance with the emouluments clause if as an asset owner a foreign government has a contract with one of his assets regardless of who is managing said assets.

What Tillerson did is what is required, resign, divest, penalty clause for returning afterwards(though the wording on the penalty clause still might not be sufficient).

And even then if his familial relations still have ownership the conflict of interest may still exist.

So the general publics insurance will still be more expensive then before pre-existing conditions were covered.

And Vox says Trump's lawyer misrepresented the Rockefeller example.

http://www.vox.com/2017/1/11/1423859...on-rockefeller

It was reported in 1974 that Rockefeller said that he'd comply fully with whatever Congress asked including placing interests in a blind trust, which Trump won't do.

As someone pointed out, your deductible will become $15,000, and your coverage cap will be $15,500. Good luck!

More expensive for who is the question. They could make it cheaper EDIT: for premium payers I mean by having a separate insurance pool for people with pre-existing conditions and subsidize that or something.

Gah everything is like crazy talk. It's like every discussion of the US health care system is code for "how can we make a system with the most intermediaries between the money and the people possible".

S.E. Cupp ‏@secupp If journalists want to preserve integrity and power of press, they should ALL walk out when Trump bashes ONE of them.

Keith Olbermann ‏@KeithOlbermann
The entire media corps should have walked out after Trump's attack on CNN.

Olbermann and Cupp agree.

Jake's gonna learn, as Fahrenthold did, that they'll just start calling him and CNN stalkers instead.

Or work together and decide on the important questions and followups and whoever gets picked asks them in descending order of importance. Instead of distractions getting all the attention.

If the journalism is actually more important than the business of news...

Otherwise every presser will be a circus like that, which suits Trump fine. Some think he came off as a clown, but whoever thinks that already thinks that. Trump supporters got more of what they want, so the end result is nothing was gained out of the whole exercise.
