Your comment about Ferland are way out of line even for this thread.

Im wrong that the oilers beat the flames 4 times this year and are currently in first??? shoot... my bad

Part of it is his speed, but just going fast doesn't mean a penalty actually happened on the play. A lot of time he falls, and there just happens to be an opposing player in the vicinity.

Think you should look again. But then again, probably won't make a difference as Oiler fans generally aren't capable of looking at things objectively.
Part of it is that he's the best offensive player in the league and the other part is that he plays the 4th most minutes out of any forward in the league.

That's why he would be leading in penalties drawn.

The only place where I have found the stats on that is NHL.com. They use penalties drawn per 60 minutes played.

If you go by that than the players that draw the most penalties in 60 minutes of ice time are:

1.Matt Tkachuk
2.Cousins
3.Abdelkader
4.Martin
5.Wilson
6.Konecny
7.Hartman
8.McDavid
14.Gaudreau

If he's getting preferential treatment, than wouldn't you have to say Gaudreau is as well?

Hey I removed my comments about Mac-T and I will publically say that that comment on my part was wrong.

Anyways, I'm pretty much done with you, its not worth it and clearly I bit hard on your trolling, and behavior.

Have a good night.

I don't know if you can even go by the statistical story on the when we talk bout Gaudreau, the eye test basically says differently.

If he was getting the benefit on the doubt with all of the hand slashing that goes on with him he would be a lot higher on the list.

Gaudreau is already higher than like 700 other players.

Where do you think Gaudreau and McDavid should be slotted appropriately in penalties drawn/60?

Gaudreau higher than 14th?

McDavid lower than 8th?

I don't know, honestly I'm not a stats guy.

However I do have difficulties with stats that aren't based in the absolute.

When you enter in the human aspect of referees making calls I don't think that the stat is really absolute or reliable.

If penalty calls were made by a computer based on the strict interpretation of the rules for example then a stat can be trusted.

Besides two out of three 1-800 psychics say that I'm right.

His comment on Ferland crossed the line. I wouldn't even bring up personal problems of my most hated players.

I wouldn't even cross the line with Burrows even though I have zero respect for him. That would be stooping to his level.
