You Sir , are a complete joke .

I say that with complete confidence.

Why?

You seem to think that there is a correlation between luck and competence.

It took the Oilers 10 years to make the playoffs during their rebuild. Meanwhile the Flames have made the post season in 2 of the last 3 years during their current rebuilt. Add to that they didn't have the luxury of 4 first overall picks and certainly were not gifted with a generational player.

Cripes Elmer, you know something, when you sit there a couple of days ago sounding like a pouty six year old as you basically say "I'm going to go back to being a fly on the wall. And then you pop right back in here tonight right after the Oilers win you come across as a fool.

Hey no big deal, I know its tough walking around with small mans syndrome after all of those years of the oilers being rock solid terrible and the worst franchise in the history of hockey.

I mean the oilers never plummeted to the depth of a one year winnipeg or Washington level of despair, but its far worse when your franchise is the drizzling poop for 10 years.

But congratulations on a good season by the Oilers, I think this is the height of the franchise and their unsustainable improvement based on one player is as high as it gets.

I have to admit I'm happy for McDavid's season as a Flames fan, because I can imagine what's going to happen at the contract negotiations when they roll out the figures, you know 40% of the teams offense, a team that basically said he's worth a billion dollars to the franchise. A team that had a massive improvement due pretty much due to his and Cam Talbot's efforts.

I wish I could be a fly on the wall in that room when the Connor camp asks for the maximum that he can ask for if they want that maximum 8 year deal. Write us a check for 14 million a year and he's all yours, they'll say. And Chia's jaw will drop and Kevin Lowe's jaw will drop, and Craig McTavish will suddenly be unable to color within the lines on his Denny's menu.

Of course, they'll say, we could do a bridge deal at 10 million per for 3 years they'll say, your choice.

I mean the oilers better win the cup, this year or next year, because with their horrendous drafting, and honestly I could even run the Oilers with a similar result you know. Oh I'm going to draft number 1 and this years hockey news says Connor is the guy?

So the Oilers will probably get a bit of a discount, but Connor is probably now in that 12 to 13 range. And just when they're relieved that that's done. Leon's agent will come in, and say look at those results, my boy has arrived, we want about 7 million bucks a year.

And the Oilers will have to sign him.

And they'll have to trade guys like RNH and Eberle for nothing, but that doesn't happen in the new NHL where everyone is close to the cap, and neither of those two are worth their contracts.

But they'll find a way, and then they'll go to their farm system to fill in those slots with cheap players and then their lack of drafting ability will smack em in the face.

But enjoy it Elmer, keep humble bragging and trolling, and literally making a fool out of yourself, and then next year, when the Oilers can't sustain what they've done this year, when they have some adversity that they didn't have this year. Maybe you can vanish for another 11 years, and maybe come back all grown'd up.

Yeah, I expect the Flames to win that series. But regardless, it's not worth the stress.

Personally I don't care when we get the Oilers, I love the motivation for this series. Playing a team that beat then 4 in a row, playing a team that the media in enamored with and going in as a underdog.

I also love the matchup in that series.

I'd rather play the Oilers then almost any other team in the West.

The Flames have a lot to prove against the Oilers this year, and the Oilers haven't played this Flames team that managed to pull things together and become one of the better teams in the NHL when they did.

I also want to see Ferklund running over McDavid.

You're fooling yourself if you think those are tears. Honestly your act is tired, boring and uncreative.

You've bought up nothing new, and to be honest, bragging like you are, pretty pathetic.

I almost tend to think that you might actually be Kevin Lowe posting under an assumed name . I mean Elmer Fudd was stupid short and balding just like he is. How you doing Kevin.

Maybe you can slip up and bellow that you know about winning.

Again you're a fool, don't sit there and whine and sulk and talk about going back to being a fly and the wall, and then jump right back in after an Oilers win. Its actually sad, I actually feel bad for you.

You clearly need the attention.

You know something, you are an idiot I thought you were a troll but I'm wrong, as soon as you cross over that line, you go to someone that should actually be banned.

You are pretty much wrong about everything and your comments on Ferlund prove that. me saying that your "smack" is uncreative and boring are hardly personal attacks, nor are my comments that you are probably Kevin Lowe which was clearly a joke.

And saying that someone that whines and throws in the towel and says he's going back to being a fly in the wall only to pour back in like a troll after an Oiler win is idiotic behavior is hardly a personal attack because its rooted firmly in truth that your behavior is idiotic.

The Flames came back from a 5-10-1 start and have secured their second playoff spot in three years.

What tears are being shed, exactly? Fans here are ecstatic.
