This season for the Oilers is nothing short of hilarious. I hope that the winning they did is enough to keep Chiarelli around, but they probably need to win at least a few more games here and there, and at this pace I guess it's doubtful.

Certainly McDavid and Draisaitl have been full value. And the highly unusual circumstance of Lites and Gaglardi throwing Benn and Seguin under the bus makes it an interesting contrast in Edmonton — especially with Hitchcock having coached the Stars the last two seasons.

Asked to comment, Draisaitl said “no comment.”

McDavid spoke to the subject without saying much.

“I don’t know much about it. Obviously I heard about it. But I don’t know enough to comment about it.”
