I was in the right lane on 17th, waiting to turn right onto SB Macleod, behind this guy who wasn't signalling. I assumed he was going to go straight through since he had several very good opportunities to turn right. Then the light turns green, he signals and turns right.
I don't get it. It's not as if you just figure you'd turn right on a whim there.
|
The worst is when I'm trying to turn left, and an oncoming car is approaching the intersection, then signals that they are turning right just as they turn. If I knew earlier they were turning, I could have turned left. But I had to assume they were going straight, and so had to wait. Drives me nuts every time it happens.

How most cars windshield washer reservoirs are conveniently 0.3L smaller than a jug of fluid. WHY!?!?!

I've noticed they started selling it as 3.7 L containers instead of 4.
GMG they still charge the same price as they did for the larger volume.

You've got to get it to that point to get a good sear, otherwise your heat will drop to the point where you'll lose the searing effect and end up sautee/steaming your meat.

You can dress it up anyway you like with as much 5 O'clock shadow as you want, but that is still sweat pants and dress shoes.

Although it's not the first time it's been discussed here, when people say "I could care less" it GMGs. It's "I couldn't care less" if you are trying to say you couldn't possibly care less. To take the opposite side, if you were really happy you'd say "I couldn't be happier". It would sound stupid if you were watching the Flames win the Cup and you said "I could be happier".

Depends on where they were connecting to/from. You may have only seen them on the one leg of their journey.
I don't know if I'd wear sweat pants, but there was one time I had an all day journey with several flight connections; and all but the last leg involved summer temperatures. (Including a 5 hour layover in Vancouver in 25 degree weather.) I wore shorts, and I got strange looks from people in Edmonton and Grand Prairie where it -10.
So 1.5 hours of being a little chilly, and 7 hours of being comfortable.

If you believe what you see in movies, that situation can end very well.
