You know, reading that CNN article again I can see an angle where Congress could do the opposite and bury the evidence rather than bury Trump and his cronies. I hope they have more integrity than that, but many of the Republicans speaking at their town halls certainly are in the back pocket of the administration. They still see an incredible value in having the Trump administration in the executive until they can ram through more of their hyper-conservative, highly regressive, agenda.

Saw Michael Moore on tv tonight and he said Chaffetz is going to reopen the investigation into Hillarys email server again next week.
Unbelievable if true.

Haha, after two previous investigations found nothing? Good luck with that, Chaffetz. What a jackass.

Chaffetz is one of the biggest ######s in the entire Congress. Might be #1 for me.

The Trump administration are certainly pulling out all the stops trying to get their new Muslim ban pushed through.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/23/politi...als/index.html
Quote:
President Donald Trump has assigned the Department of Homeland Security, working with the Justice Department, to help build the legal case for its temporary travel ban on individuals from seven countries, a senior White House official tells CNN.
|
Quote:
The White House expectation of what the report will show has some intelligence officials within the administration taking issue with this intelligence review, sources told CNN.
First, some intelligence officials disagree with the conclusion that immigration from these countries should be temporarily banned in the name of making the US safer. CNN has learned that the Department of Homeland Security's in-house intelligence agency, the Office of Intelligence and Analysis -- called I&A within the department -- offered a report that is at odds with the Trump administration's view that blocking immigration from these seven countries strategically makes sense.

Gives him something to do while avoiding that whole Russian thing, though.
Not sure if finding anything is his goal.

I sure hope so, it's getting pretty scary, what the administration is doing.
every time they say something stupid, I'm worried it's just a distraction to hide what they're really doing behind the scenes.

Multiple individuals passing out Russian flags with "Trump" emblazoned on them before POTUS speech. Staff now demanding them back.

Has anyone seen this?
Listen to Sebastian Gorka. He called a citizen, a critic, to rant in a crazy manner about the critic's Twitter feed, which Gorka doesn't like because it hurts his feelings. He berates the guy, (threatened legal action before the guy started recording), then settles down, then tries to get the guy to meet him at the White House "to talk." Then he goes off again and starts freaking out.
This is completely bat crap crazy. This guy sounds like an insecure nut job loon, and he's working with Trump. In the White House.

Think of what kind of mindless drone you'd have to be to be at that convention if you didn't have something to promote?

I would guess less than 20% of trumpets know what the Russian flag looks like.
Also, Trump back in full dictatorship mode this morning.

So I'm seeing theories that these are President Bannon's people waving the Russia/Trump flags. That would be mighty fun if true. We know President Bannon loves his trolling.

I wonder if Trump realizes that most of the people who immigrate from the countries on his list do so because they are persecuted, included people in their LBGQT communities.

Maybe we need a device rental service for people travelling to the US, leave your devices at home and rent something that's got nothing on it. Or just don't go to the US.
A Vancouver man was denied entry into the United States after a US Customs and Border Patrol officer read his profiles on the gay hookup app Scruff and the website BBRT.
The officer suspected the man was a sex worker because he found messages from the man saying he was “looking for loads,” and assumed it meant he was soliciting sex for cash.
While the misunderstanding might sound funny, it underscores the bitter reality that non-Americans have very few rights at the border, and that even suspicion of criminal behaviour can be used to deny non-Americans entry.

I had a friend of mine's daughter who is a visible minority. She had applied to a bunch of US schools and was accepted.
Since Trump was elected, her and her family have chosen to look at Canadian schools instead for University.
It's unstable down there and I think its only going to get worse...I just hope rational thought prevails.
