Honestly I had this hope that when we got into games that count we'd see Brouwer find his stride, find some competitive fire and remember what made his so good in the playoffs last year. I mean some players have that playoff switch.

Clearly Brouwer was a one hit wonder and the switch is still sitting in a box in a warehouse somewhere.

Garrett calling him 'Mr. Flames' would certainly indicate that it's Francis, but the voice isn't quite right.

More listens and it doesn't sound like Francis either. Think it's somebody behind the scenes on 960.

Like you've never spoken ill of a player before amongst friends?

Some lowlife recorded this/leaked this audio when it was a private conversation between colleagues after the fact. Pretty sad world we live in when the lynching is already starting for something that in no way needed to be brought to public light.

Way to potentially cost someone their career over a private conversation guys.

Used 'ignore' for at least five posters in these two games alone

Ball and Garrett are definitely in there, but the third guy is the one saying the juicy stuff.

Could be a producer, could be another media guy, I don't recognize the voice. Most of the media would be downstairs post game at this time.

He is some guy who is not aware that Hamilton won the Scholastic award while in the OHL.

We'd definitely know if it was Pat Steinberg, because he would have said over and over to fill air time

So, GG says the ref told him it was a decision made in Toronto.

NHL puts out that it was goalie interference per the ref.

NHL tells CBC (John Garrett) at intermission it is reviewable and GG chose not to challenge.

I'm really confused.

28 games is over a third of a regular season, even the worst team in the NHL would be able to luck out against the best team a couple times in that span. It's obviously not a curse but it's not about being the inferior team, because even a crappy team would get one or two out of it. This has got to be an unprecedented losing streak in one building.
FYI I believe the Flames set a pro-sports record (not just hockey) for straight losses in an opposing team building last year or the year before

I suggest watching it again.
And what about Perry interfering with him right before that? What about the Ducks player vs Hamilton in the corner earlier in the same shift?

It's a chincy call at that point in the game when you've already let so much go.

It's not that it's not a penalty, it's about what they choose to call and ignore. There's no consistency. The refereeing has been ####ing BS all year. Makes me not want to watch this joke of a league.

May have been brought up already but Anyone think the league should review Bieksa's hatchet swing to Bouma's head? He came around hard with intent.

Hamilton deserves to get tee'd off on. He has been f'ing pathetic. I hate the officials as much as the next person but why he choose to grab that stick and hold onto to it is beyond me, especially when the puck is at centre. He is an idiot.

Yes, I did. In fact, I woke up at 4am to watch it.

Dominated? If they hax, they should have scored at least 4 or 5. You cannot score only 2 goals and call it domination. But that does not ma tter. They LOST! Why? Because they are the most undisciplined teams in the league, consistently taking dumb penalties.

Game one they lost because of a line change. A. Line. Change. Yeah, they're real winners all right...

Take off your homer glasses.

You're claiming the series is over as if we are losing 4 or 5 to nothing.

And a loser mentality from players? Bad bounces and dumb mistakes are all part of the game and happens both ways. The Ducks just capitalizes on those opportunities.

The joys of hockey is there are different ways to win and honestly anyone can, especially in the cap era. Show me a team in the playoffs that are winning 5-0 every game.

You're acting as if they don't play hard or try to win, when they were clearly the better team today.

Are we taking dumb penalties and making bonehead plays? Yes. Are the Ducks a more skilled team? Definitely, but this isn't the NBA where the top team can go all the way every season.

Loser mentality? Cmon, that's what makes your post embarrassing. It's a game of milliseconds and split second decisions.

Take a second to actually absorb the game and look at it with a bit of objectivity.
