I love the calling out of the officials but also hate it. Could backfire even more. Dammit I have not been this angry after a Flames game for a really long time.

Don't think so. Hard to tell though. Garrett talks about the Brodie call and Ball for sure comments on how this was the best chance to win in the building. The guy Garrett refers to as Mr.Flames who rips Dougie? Not sure. I'm upset with the penalty as much as the next guy but that was a dick comment from whoever that was.

Like it or not, there are plenty of things that the Flames should be envious of the Oilers for this season.
Jesus, stop being such homers.
Envious of what?
The fact it took 4 first round picks and 10 years of basement dwelling to get to where the are now? Or that fact they fluked out in getting McDavid when he should have gone to the Sabres?
That's nothing to be proud of in my books.

Says standards have a changed and no one knows the rules anymore. Seemed to start calling it differently at 6 mins left.
Says he doesn't know how that goal was disallowed.
Pretty much seems comfortable with getting a fine. Love it that he's actually taking the risk to vent it and validate what we can all see at home.
Good. I'll be the first guy in line to donate to him the fine he'll get if that happens (actually I won't). But it's not just the Flames. It's an epidemic around the league. Fans from ALL teams have the same issues. Announcers on all broadcasts say the same. Players and coaches say the same.
IMO it's the #1 issue with what's ''wrong'' with the NHL today. Why aren't the GMs talking about it in their group meetings? Why does no one on CBC question Bettman about it on his intermission interviews? This should be at the forefront. Not player safety. Not concussions. The officiating.
My conspiracy theory is that one day we'll get an entire leak of emails, with Colin Cambell's name at the top, talking about the mandate officials have to certain teams/players.
I don't think its the refs being incompetent. I think it's the mandate they are getting from highers ups that are forcing them to call games the way they are.
I'd love to hear that GG interview if anyone has it. I'd be surprised if it even makes it to the Flames' website.

I wonder if that guy teeing off on Hamilton was a fan visiting the booth or something.
Sounds like a much more passionate analysis than you'd expect of a professional. Sounds like Millions and Ball he's talking to though (and they're not disagreeing)
Zero killer instinct from a team that apparently just has worse luck than every other playoff team (funny how the Flames always seem to suffer from this problem...).
It definitely doesn't sound like Millions, unless he had a dozen beer during the game. Francis, maybe.

I would think that there are going to be some changes to the Flames broadcast crew for next year.
Having that recorded and going public is probably going to get those guys into a lot of trouble.
For speaking the truth?
I wrote a letter to the NHL officials association. It's just pure flat out despicable . This refereeing is a thing of fairly tales with how poorly and biased it is. When I tell my grandkids about it they will think I am senile and want put in a home. It's ruining the game, there no other way to put it. It's just unfathomable how one sided it is, just can't wrap my head around it.
