Johnson has more wins, a better save %, a better GAA, and more shut outs.

Must be those 4 wins in a row. Could he have been better tonight? Sure. Was Johnson better during his streak? Yep. Have both goalies looked bad lately? Yes, Johnson wasn't any better in his losses than Elliott tonight. He just has a longer rope than Elliott for some posters. Maybe justifiably so because of his previous work.

Realistically, the Flames win 9/10 games that they play this way

Nice save Elliott, especially considering it was Baertschi.

I swear it's the extended breaks that are constantly killing our mojo.

As dominant as the Flames have been tonight, and as lucky as the Nucks have been, the Flames decision making tonight when they are controlling the play has been attrocious. Shooting at stupid times, the when, to who and the where they decide to pass to has been god awful.
Bad bad decision making has led to far to little quality scoring chances from all this possession.

At least the Flames aren't throwing in the towel. Some excellent pressure in these last few shifts, but Miller is stopping everything.

Gio, yes. The other guys have been fine. Goaltending has been the difference tonight. Miller has been the Miller of old, Elliott has made a few nice saves but has let in some softies. Elliott's streak has come against very soft competition, Johnson will need the be the guy if we are going to go to the dance imo.

True story. It sucks but there are games where you completely dominate but lose. Hot opposing goalie, insane shot % by the opposition, terrible goaltending by your netminder, the list goes on and on. These games happen, take the positives and move on. You play 5 more games between these 2 teams with the current shot totals and I bet Calgary wins all 5. Tonight's just one of those nights, the sky is not falling despite the general environment around here.

On the bright side the Brodie Wideman pair has had a great game.

Both guys have played about the same amount of games. It's a tandem despite what the Johnson lovers/Elliott haters want to believe.

No, not everyone else. Renihart and Drasaitle are 21 for example. They had two of the latest birth years in the draft year and Bennett was one of the youngest. A June Birthdate vs a October is essentially a entire season of extra development.

Mm yeah I like the lack of quit in their game. If they're gonna get beat by this BS, they're at least going to pump pucks on net until the buzzer.

He's also allowed 15 goals in his last four starts. I don't know how one can be declared the starter over the other at this point. They've both been good in stretches and have both been terrible in stretches.
