Does anyone think that the LVGK expansion draft will help reduce the depth of competitive teams helping the Flames for next season by increasing the competitive balance? Or do you think that the draft will reduce to the competitive balance making the good teams that much better than the average teams.

I don't think it will affect teams much. they can only lose 1 player. But you get to play a likely terrible team 4 times a year which could help in battling for the wild cards with the central division.

True, still, I believe that the timing of the expansion draft will benefit the Flames ability to compete more than it hurts them.

Well, the Flames aren't going to lose a significant player to expansion, while some other teams might. So, that might be a small advantage

This is going to be awesome. Las Vegas went from being the first professional sports team with some time to build a fan base to now basically having early customers sitting through a horrible season with NFL season tickets on their mind.

The Ducks for example will almost certainly lose a quality player. Possibly Cam Fowler, or Cogliano or Silfverberg.

VGK announce local radio partners. One interesting takeaway is that all 82 games will be available on a local Spanish-language radio station, making Las Vegas the only NHL team to broadcast all 82 games in Spanish.

Good move by the organization, it could position themselves well within the Latino community in Vegas which accounts for almost 1/3 of the population if you believe Wikipedia. Given the NFL will cater to money and the high end fan this is great way to grab a whole market segment for yourself. The Toronto Raptors did much the same thing apparently when they first started. They knew they could not compete against the Leafs and Jays and the high dollar corporate crowd so they targeted the minority population who they knew would normally not be able to go to a Leaf game. Over the years they have built a pretty hardcore base of fans from these minority populations and it is paying off huge now. They probably have one of the most diverse fan bases in the NBA and possibly any professional organization in North America.

I'm going to have to find these streams if they are online, my kids will love listening to the games. Would be cool if SiriusXM picked up this feed too.
