Oakland is awful. Texans are about to go to 2-0 on the season! With a weak division and a fairly weak schedule its not inconceivable that the Texans are still in the playoff hunt later in the season.

Seattle defense couldn't get off the field. An assinine penalty by Irvin and a semi-dive by Rivers extended a drive in the 2nd which may have prevented a touchdown and made things a bit closer.

Credit to San Diego for 8-10+ drives.

When trying to determine a past playoff team, like the Saints for example, the numbers would change drastically in making it back to the post season. Just considering how many teams like the Jaguars or the Raiders have been and will continue to lower that number every year.

If you take even teams that were previously .500 or better and then starting 0-2 and then making the playoffs the number changes quite a bit.
I've seen the numbers posted somewhere, I'll see if I cants find it again.

It's not entirely the Jets fault though. I bet the assistant yells at the head coach all the time to call a timeout. If only the head coach can make that call on the sideline then it's on the refs to know what the head coach voice sounds like.

Good to see the Jets lose, but the entire blame shouldn't be on them.

So changing the parameters of the stat changes the outcome of it?

OK and absolutely true.

It doesn't change the original statement however. I think even more applicable though is the 0-3 start...IIRC only 4 teams have ever made the post season after such a beginning.

It's a bad spot to be in regardless, and it's one I believed that GB was going to find themselves in after the start of todays game as they have a nasty schedule to start the year with the next two games on the road vs divisional opponents.
