And just because men and women play against each other in tune up games because we haven't grown the women's division of the sport adequately doesn't mean that these attitudes and comments are qualified.
I'm glad they won gold. I just compared the caliber of hockey. Why get all butt hurt. It is what it is.

We do? I can't remember Canada ever losing like that. the men almost choked it up in 2010 but won in OT.

What a comeback and what a game!

Pretty tough to go back to work after watching that, if feels like beer time.

A buddy I play with is over there watching the game. Brother to one of the Canadian players and he said that the crowd was strangely confident even being down 2 with 4 or 5 minutes to go. Said the team stayed calm and remained very confident that if they got it within 1 they liked their chances with the 6 on 5.

He thought the OT penalties were weak even the Wickenheiser one. My first reaction was penalty but with the benefit of the replay I don't think it was. But, as I said initially thought it was a penalty and that is what the refs saw.

Crowd went nuts when it was tied up. Crazy game, lots of fun to watch.

And try to present your point like an adult.

When they showed the American team getting their silver medals, I couldn't help but remember that the last time I saw so many upset women was the day I left the dating scene.

Not mentioned thus far, I think Mark Lee actually did a competent job of calling those moments.

Well, despite all it's flaws, another classic game in the Canada - US womens hockey rivalry. One that the athletes and us fans will remember for it's drama. Thanks for watching it with me guys and gals, and enjoy the rest of your day!

Mark Lee is pretty good when things ramp up, it's just the rest of the time where he's monotone and dull that are brutal. Unfortunately the monotone moments are in much greater quantity than the excited moments.

I did. They are barely double a caliber. You are the one that is hurt about it. It's a simple fact.

Ok so in addition to us celebrating a gold medal victory, we've also confirmed in this thread that a woman's sports team isn't as good as a men's sports team. At this rate we'll be discussing the James Joyce's Ulysses at post 12,000.
