Brendan Shanahan
Burke says "could be someone not a GM previously"
Burke says "got permission to talk to someone" - so they are presently employed
Burke says "there is another team looking for a GM"
Brendan strongly linked to Buffalo.
Also: Also explains Feaster removal timing. Had to happen now.

-Things will change now that I have finished my evaluation
-I will be with the team more now, talked about that with them today

The only other team doing a GM search right now is the team that fired Regier. If Regier was the priority Burke should feel no pressure in getting him.

Feaster and Weisbrod were turning the Flames into a very NCAA-style team.
Burke is going to flip a U-turn and make it more like the WHL.

I'm confused, isn't he referencing Buffalo as the other team that's searching meaning that Regier wouldn't be the candidate?

Glory? Look at the roster? There are some okay prospects in the organization but Monahan is the only one that looks like a franchise player.

-The message was first off that these changes are part of this business
-They should feel gratitude towards Jay and make sure to call him
-Wanted them to know there will be no other changes
-Thanked the players for how hard they worked
-Thinks this team has been the hardest working team in the NHL
-Again, gotta hold on to those leads

Coupled with Burke's comment about size being an issue and needing to get bigger.
Here's hoping Gaudreau weighs 250 lbs come next year's training camp.

Same way Hartley will coach the loser, get fired once the team is a competitor, and look like crapola in the history books. Management and coaching positions don't last rebuilds.

I didn't say there was glory now. I think Feaster could have gotten there now that he was able to start actually managing the team, instead of working on getting rid of the baggage.

Burke says they better surround Gaudreau with beef.... plenty of room for small skilled guys.
Wes Gilbertson @SUNGilbertson 12s
Burke on Gaudreau, Arnold: "I sent a text to the coach at Boston College and said, 'Make sure your guys know we still love them'"

Burke says small players are welcome and he praised Gaudreau. Calm down people.
