Last year on my birthday it was 20 and kinda rainy, this year it's 22 and sunny. Oh, last year I was in Orlando, this year I am at home in London, On.
Warmest birthday ever in Canada (I have lived in Fort McMurray, Calgary, London and St. Catharines).

A guy at work put on his summer tires on the weekend and a couple of us jokingly blamed him for ensuring we get a big snow storm. Well I guess it's no joke because it appears that we are going to get blasted with major snowfall.

It’s that time of the year when people forget how snowy March is in this city.
We’re experiencing First False Spring. We haven’t even had Second False Spring yet.

Yup. People get fooled by a Chinook and a mild week forgetting we just started the snowiest part of the year

As long as it's wrapped up by Thursday or Friday at the very latest. I'm flying out of YYC Saturday.

I've never understood the mentality for this. Is a couple of weeks of potential wear and tear really going to make that much of a difference on winter tire tread? I'd rather have peace of mind than to risk it. The earliest I take my tires off is mid April.

Looooooooooooooch
This snow isn't really snow though. It's like snow for 2 days and then slush and then all gone and back to bare dry by day 4.

Looks like Wednesday will be the biggest day, then flurries and/or light snow after that. If that holds up it wont be too bad (fingers crossed).

~18cm of snow over 3 days with below zero highs, it'll be messy.

I think I remember that year. We were shopping for houses and I got stuck in the snow that day. I had a Pontiac Sunfire lol.
Only time I've ever gotten stuck and needed someone to help push.

I was flying home from Phoenix when that March snowstorm hit. We couldn't land in Calgary and the fight was diverted on to Edmonton. Then Delta Airlines loaded us passengers on a bus for the trip back to Calgary. The highway was so bad that the bus driver had to follow the tail lights of a semi in front of us. When we finally got to Calgary the airport was of course closed with taxis not running. We ended up sleeping on the terminal floor until morning.
