NFL will release the 2008 regular season schedule tomorrow at noon MT.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3346685

If the Saints game in Denver coincides with a Flames @ Avs game, life will be grand.

Berger was great at CU and I believe he punted for quite a long time for the Minnesota Vikings.

I'd like to see the Broncos give Montana kicker Dan Carpenter a try out.

My condolences to DFF. The Broncos have signed former Chiefs WR Sammie Parker.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3346946

He has a severe case of the dropsies. Allthough last season, with the threat of Dewayne Bowe taking his job, he did catch all 24 passes thrown his way.

The worst was that Parker had a tendancy to drop the ball on 3rd down plays where he had the first down and was in the clear to get another 5-10 yards. He never dropped the ball because he was about to take a hit or anything like that. Than again....it's not his fault the Chiefs never really bothered to have any other wide receivers to challenge him for a job.

I met Berger at a summer football camp in Vancouver I went to back in '05, when he was still the Saints Pro Bowl punter. He seemed like a bit of a deusche, he was quite stand-offish with me. Which may be correct, considering I hear one of the reasons the Saints let him go(aside from Weatherford) was because he was a bit of a locker room problem(that must be the first case of a punter being a locker room prob, I laughed when I heard that).

...although I probably brought it on myself when I went to talk to him, because I pronounced his name with a soft "g", when its actually a hard "g". In hindsight, I'm actually embarassed I didnt know that considering he was a Saint. Chalk it up to announcers constantly mis-pronouncing his name during games.

Well, Saints at Denver Sept. 21. I'll be there for sure. I was hoping for a game later in the season to catch some hockey, oh well.

2 Monday night home games, 1 game in London, and another December game in Chicago, on a short week nonetheless. Should be interesting...

What are the chances that the week 16 game between the Chiefs and Dolphins is a match up of 2 teams with 0-14 records? Chiefs might be able to beat Atlanta in week 3...other than that...I think Miami and week 2 at home against Oakland and their game at the Jets are their only real oppurtunities to win games. If the Chiefs win more than 3 games this year I'll seriously be shocked....Hopefully that will wake up Hunts son to axe King Carl.

I don't think Miami will be 1-15 bad this season. They lost a lot of games by 3 points or less. The Chiefs on the other hand....... The D could be good. The O really depends on if they can improve the line and give Croyle time to throw. They have a great RB and an emerging super star at WR.

When do tickets typically go on sale? In the summer?

You never know, Moe...maybe the Flames will end up with a preseason tilt there that day!

I've heard they are close to signing Darrell Jackson as well, another WR I can't really get excited about.

Any bets on whether or not Parker makes the 53 man roster? I say no.

Oh baby... Denver Broncos, first game of the season on MNF.

Starting off the season interdivisional... what do you think Displaced? Ready to start the season 0-1?

Haha... no Javon's knee is fine. The Raiders are slowing the deterioration process with their patented technology not available to the other 31 NFL teams... it's the same technology they use on Al Davis.

Dave Rowe said the same thing on the Fan this morning. It actually offended me. Bills and Dolphins are division rivals. Plenty of games that look boring on paper end up being nail biters, while matchups that look big on paper end up being yawners. What Rowe knows about the NFL you could write on a gum wrapper.
