Also the lowest ranking for Ryabkin I have seen at #24

He doesn't say why he has Ryabkin lower than others. Mostly positive sounding evaluation, other than the slow start

Ryabkin was an impactful player at the Russian junior level as a 16-year-old but has been off to a slow start to this season. He’s a very likeable player who ticks most of the boxes scouts want. He skates well. He has a ton of skill and ability to improvise with the puck. He sees the ice at a high level and makes difficult passes consistently. He has a good shot and can finish plays from range and at the net. He competes quite hard and looks to use his body to win pucks. Other than an average-sized frame, there is no noticeable hole in his game.

Beginning of the year I hoped he would be a target with our late 1st's but it's unlikely now, O'brien might go top 10 when all is said and done.

-Mike Misa is tops in the OHL scoring race, with 21gp/23g/19a/42pts,+17, 8 PIM. He is 5 points ahead of the next highest scorer, and he's ahead in goal-scoring by 6. He is also tied for 4th in plus/minus.

-Martone has 5 points in his last 2 games, after going pointless in his previous two games. He is second in OHL scoring, and 4th in goals, with 18gp/16g/21a/37pts,+10, 32 PIM. He is also 16th in PIM.

-C Jake O'Brien has racked up 11 points in his last 4 games after a slow start to the season, and is showing off his goal-scoring prowess with 4 goals in that span. 19gp/10g/13a/23pts,+1, 6 PIM, tied for 23rd in OHL scoring.

-Only 1 point in the last 8 games for C Jack Nesbitt, who has fallen to 20gp/10g/6a/16pts,+6, 9 PIM.

-In the month of November, D Matt Schaefer has 12 points in 8 games, to put him at 11gp/4g/11a/15pts,+11, 6 PIM.

-RW Bill Zonnon has moved into 6th place in Q scoring, with 21gp/11g/20a/31pts,+11, 10 PIM, after posting 12 points in 6 games in November. He's rising quickly, and will continue to ascend the draft board.

-LW Emile Guite' continues to disappoint, with only 1 point in his last 8 games, to put him at 20gp/4g/5a/9pts,even, 6 PIM.

-C Carter Bear is now second in WHL scoring, with 20gp/19g/16a/35pts,+17, 16 PIM, after 14 points in his last 6 games. He is also tied for 2nd in goals, and 9th in plus/minus. He's looking like a riser.

-RW Cam Schmidt is tied for 4th in scoring, but is first in goals, with 19gp/22g/11a/33pts,+3, 14 PIM, after piling up 10 goals and 13 points in his last 6 games.

-After 8 points in his last 7 games, LW Nathan Behm has slipped to 11th in WHL scoring, with 20gp/14g/16a/30pts,+13, 10 PIM.

-C Ben Kindel has racked up 9 points in 8 games in November, and sits in a tie for 17th in WHL scoring with 21gp/13g/15a/28pts,-1, 12 PIM. Excellent production, considering he plays for a mediocre Hitmen squad.

Im starting to see Misa as the clear cut 1 OA this draft. I don't fully know the comps and maths that compare NCAA output vs CHL output but Misa is tracking to make scoring records reachable.

Yet the "experts" have him behind Hagens and Martone and some behind Schaffer.

I don't think anyone at this stage is the clear cut #1.

I do know it won't be simply who gets the most points.

1. Michael Misa - Center - Saginaw Spirit
As of writing this, Misa leads the OHL in both overall scoring and goal scoring. Simply put, he’s been the best player in the OHL this year, finally emerging as the dynamic and consistent play driver he was drafted to be (as an exceptional status player). Coming into the year, the criticism among scouts was fairly consistent, they wanted to see him step out of the shadows as a complementary piece with Saginaw to be the team’s primary offensive catalyst. He’s answered that call. So why is Misa my number one in an incredibly strong, top heavy crop from the region? I love Misa’s overall game and the way that it projects to the NHL. People speak about Porter Martone’s complete game as being the reason that he should be a first overall candidate, but I’d actually argue that Misa’s attention to detail, competitiveness, and two-way game is more consistent than Martone's. He’s one of the league’s best two-way players and with added strength, we’re seeing him more dialed and effective physically. There’s absolutely no question in my mind that he can stick down the middle as an NHL center. With improvements made to every part of his game, Misa is a serious contender to supplant James Hagens as a potential first overall selection…at least in my opinion. He does everything Hagens can do, but is bigger and more consistent off the puck.

I would personally take Misa over Hagens, and I wouldn’t cry if we took him over Martone, either.
