this is correct
Antihistamine is important to take after a sign.
I'm surprised more people don't know this.

I did immediately. It’s now been 21 hours and the finger is still swollen at the site of the bite. The pain has subsided.

Has anyone ever worked remotely for a US company? I'm considering applying for some 100% remote IT positions, but looking for any extra hoops that might be involved. Would I have to declare income in both countries at tax time for example?

We use US contractors that work from home.
I just brought in 400 of them.
They only pay tax in the US, not Canada.
We pay them in the US
We have both a US and a Canadian division.
Not sure if it goes both ways, but common sense (which I get doesn’t always apply to things Gov’t related) would say no

It's probably no as UCB says, but these situations are always on a case by case basis. If you're confused, you can always call the CRA and ask them if they think your situation may require a filing on both sides of the border.
There are rare instances where this is the case.

Anyone know about DIY refilling of soda stream canisters? Any thoughts on the most practical size tank to use and adapter for refiling the smaller canisters?
I'm leaning towards getting a 5 or 10lb tank of beverage grade CO2 then refilling the smaller canister vs putting the hose directly into the Soda stream. I use up a Sodastream tank maybe once every 3-4 months.

CHED is moving from 630 on the dial to 880. They say it’ll improve reception but I thought lower on the dial with all else being equal generally gave better reception. Anyone know if I’ve been misled? I know I picked CHED up almost to Vancouver years ago.

As I understand it, lower frequencies have better range (when I lived in Lloydminster in the mid-90s, I could listen to Flames games on 66-CFR), but the downside is other lower frequency stations also get better range (especially at night), so it causes more interference between stations on nearby frequencies.

Thought of doing this too. Have been buying CO2 under the table - it’s a black market industry. Shhhh. The sodastream mafia make huge profits. Ask the Canadian tire people…

Just remember to weigh a full soda stream canister and never fill the canister over this weight. If you do and the temperature in your house rises the liquid will thermally expand and could fail the container.

Question for all you married / finance people.
My wife and I currently keep our funds separate. We intend to keep doing so, however, we have discussed either creating a new account or a new Credit Card for purchasing groceries and restaurants, as well as travel - the things we truly do split, and make up the vast majority of our spending.
So, does anyone have thoughts on how best to do this?
- Opening a joint account, getting two credit cards and just paying into the account each month.
- Getting a new credit card in one of our accounts and just having the other one transfer money to the other each month to reconcile.
- Can you get two credit cards for the same credit account if it isnt a joint account?

No idea on the science but this is going to be strange for me. I grew up with CHED, not having it at 630 just seems wrong.

Anyone know if you need a permit to have a seacan on your property for a few months? Just need some temporary storage while we get the house ready to sell and looks like this is massively cheaper + nice to have everything close compared to an actual storage unit. It would be off the alley 100% on my property. A quick lazy google only shows info for putting one on the street or in the alley itself, or for people to live in it (lol?)
Wife wants to go down this route. I'm not excited about how ugly they are, but considering I'm the only one on the block that actually kills weeds and cuts grass back there, or even has the alley side of my fence painted, woopty do
I'll call the city later and ask when I have time but figured someone in here might have experience

At that rate it's going to take years to recoup your costs. Home Hardware has third party canisters for $12.50. There's also a kid who does it for $10. I think you can Google him.

We had one on a rear driveway for 3 months with no issues. A really good way to go to pack.

You can get a joint credit card without having any joint accounts and you could just split the bill at the end of every month and pay from your existing accounts.
